6F Redcar maiden winner on debut (May 2016), whose sole other juvenile start came when twelfth of 16 in the Albany at Royal Ascot. Returned to action just last week when a ready 2¼L winner of an apprentices handicap at Lingfield (1m) and runs unpenalised with leading jockey making the journey North for this sole mount (1 from 1 aboard).
Twice placed in maiden company in Ireland for previous trainer Dermot Weld, but went off the boil in the later part of 2016. Still unexposed on the whole and makes his handicap debut for a new trainer (first run in England) having been sold for €6,000.
Made her second career start a winning one when staying on well to land a fairly moderate 7F course maiden in early February. Whilst it was pleasing to see her build upon her debut Kempton effort (bumped early), and her opening mark of 69 looks relatively fair, she faces a tough rival tonight in Cheval Blanche now stepped upto 1m.
Appears to be heading in the right direction, and has finished third over C&D on his last two starts. No match for the untapped raw potential of Poetique in mid December, he went under by only a length in lesser company to Moamar on his latest start. Better suited to this grade, but this looks competitive.
All three starts so far have come at this track when truthfully outclassed in maiden company. Promises to be better suited by life in handicaps, but looks likely to find more than a few too good in this race tonight.
Faded tamely late on his handicap debut over 7F at this track in August 2016, but on pedigree should stay this 1m trip. Dropped a couple of pounds since, but needs to take a huge step forward to figure in this following a sizeable break.

The unpenalised CHEVAL BLANCHE would appear the clear pick in this race with Jamie Spencer (rode on debut) renewing acquaintances with this improving three-year-old filly. Having won at Redcar in the past, she's proved herself down a straight track, and whilst this Tapeta is a slightly different surface to the Polytrack at Lingfield, there's no reason to think this switch will cause her any undue problems. A sole mount on the card tonight for her rider she will take all of the beating.
