Looked a horse of some potential after his first two efforts in bumpers, winning one and finishing second in the other, but hasn't gone on from that at all and recent efforts have left plenty to be desired in the jumping department. Still time for him to turn it around, but it can only be a watching brief today.
Winner of an Irish point-to-point last season (second and third both proving to be useful under Rules) but hasn't shown enough in two starts for current yard to be of interest here. May be one to keep an eye on with regards to handicaps down the line.

Plumpton bumper winner on his debut last May, showing a good turn of foot, and looks to be going the right way on last two hurdles starts, finishing a solid fifth in a warm Newbury novice hurdle (weakened late) and would have gone close to winning at Wetherby on latest start but for a bad mistake two from home. Yard do well at Doncaster (7 winners from 29 runners last 5 years) and leading chance today.
Only greenness cost her a chance of a winning debut at Southwell last year, but she pulled her chance away in his next two starts at Warwick and Huntingdon (hooded), proving far too keen in the early stages of her races. Looked a different horse when shown hurdles on latest start and despite 33-1 price tag, there was no fluke about her victory (second an easy winner since) at Huntingdon and looks the type to progress. Trip and ground fine, and has to be on the shortlist.
Shown only a low level of form to date, and ideally wants better ground than he is likely to encounter than today. Not totally disgraced on latest start but that form well below what's required here, and looks one for handicaps.

Regressive on the flat and yard not known for novice hurdle winners. Doesn't really have a jumping pedigree either and an unlikely winner.

Winner of an Irish point-to-point last February and like plenty from the yard (Warren Greatrex) made a winning bumper debut in a small race at Uttoxeter in May. Hasn't set the world alight in two hurdles runs to date and may be a bit temperamental (has worn earplugs before) but at least latest effort when third at Wetherby shows he is going the right way. Will stay well, but may want better ground than he is likely to encounter today. Needs to pull out more..

Looked very useful when winning two of her three bumpers (taken over to Ireland to win a valuable event at Gowran Park in September) and made a satisfactory hurdles debut at Newbury in November, finishing second to the useful Dusky Legend. Made hard work of landing short odds here at Doncaster on latest start, throwing the brakes on three out and she clearly has her quirks, but she's clearly got ability and if on her best behaviour, holds a decent chance today.
Looks a staying chaser in the making and this trip might be on the short side for him, but he ran as well as could have been expected when third to Overland Flyer at Taunton on his latest start. Has been highly tried for most of his career (ran in two classy Cheltenham bumpers, unsurprisingly done for speed) and although the figures give him a chance today, may be best watched until going back up in trip.

Forecasts

Snow Leopardess (11/8), Creep Desbois (3/1), Mariah's Legend (4/1), Rockportian (8/1), Woodfort (12/1), Atomix (33/1), Novemberstorm (33/1), Ballynorth Benny (40/1), Petrucci (150/1)

Verdict

This could be quite an informative event, and now that MARIAH'S LEGEND is learning how to relax (both pre-race and in running) she may well be able to follow up her Huntingdon win with another. She travelled so well that day and with the second giving the form a boost, she's taken to beat Creep Desbois, who looks to be improving and Snow Leopardess, who may have her own ideas about things but is clearly useful. 1. Mariah's Legend 2. Creep Desbois 3. Snow Leopardess
