A team of students representing Cardiff Met University will play in next season's Europa league after a dramatic penalty shootout win.
Cardiff Met faced a Welsh Premier League play-off for the third year running as they played at Bala Town with a place in Europe at stake.
The game ended 1-1 after extra time after Eliot Evans cancelled out Henry James' opener in the first half an hour at Maes Tegid.
No further scoring meant the game would be decided by penalties and it was Archers keeper Will Fuller who would be the hero as he saved three Bala Town spot kicks.
That left Evans to step up and convert the clinching penalty to send Cardiff Met into the preliminary qualifying round of the Europa League.
The team, none of which get paid, are now just one win away from playing the likes of Steven Gerrard's Rangers, while if they can progress from that round they will go into the hat with teams such as Wolves, Eintracht Frankfurt and Espanyol.
