1640: Barcelona have failed with a bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Ousmane Dembele as they seek a replacement for Neymar. The 20-year-old Frenchman skipped training with Dortmund on Thursday and was swiftly suspended by the Bundesliga club.
In a statement to the German stock exchange, Dortmund said talks with Barcelona had taken place but that an offer had been refused. Dortmund said Barcelona's bid "did not correspond... to the present economic situation of the European transfer market".
1550: Everton boss Ronald Koeman is confident his club are close to striking a deal with Swansea for Icelandic playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Swansea are thought to be holding out for £50million and their manager Paul Clement has suggested negotiations are currently at an impasse. But Koeman claimed last weekend a deal could be imminent and he still feels that is the case.
In the SPL, Celtic coach John Kennedy admits the Parkhead club will have to be patient in their pursuit of Patrick Roberts. Southampton and Nice are also interested in the 20-year-old wide player following his part in the Scottish champions' undefeated campaign last year.
The Parkhead side are just as determined to lure Roberts back to Glasgow as they plot their return to the Champions League group stages. But Kennedy confessed Celtic will just have to keep their fingers crossed while City and Roberts weigh up their next move.
The Icelandic midfielder is 1/10 to sign for the Toffees at Sky Bet, while he is 11/2 to remain at Swansea.
1535: Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele has gone AWOL as speculation mounts that he is attracting serious interest from Barcelona. Dortmund head coach, Peter Bosz, revealed the 20-year-old Frenchman was unexpectedly absent from training on Thursday.
Many have declared Dembele as the ideal replacement for Neymar at Barcelona, and, with the Catalan club reportedly having a £90 million offer for Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho rejected, they may now be ready to turn their attention towards Dembele.
Barcelona are currently 1/10 favourites at Sky Bet to sign the French forward, while he is 6/1 to stay at Dortmund.
1456: Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said, in no uncertain terms, that Phillipe Coutinho is not for sale.
Klopp stated that there is no bid that will persuade the club to sell the Brazilian midfielder. Although Coutinho is 5/6 to join Spanish giants Barcelona with Sky Bet, Liverpool seem adamant that he will remain at Anfield this year.
1434: Brighton have announced the signing of winger Soufyan Ahannach from Dutch second division side Almere City. The 21-year-old Dutchman has signed a three-year deal with the Seagulls after completing his move for an undisclosed fee.
He becomes the seventh addition to Chris Hughton's squad as he looks to defy the odds and keep Brighton in the Premier League following their promotion. The Seagulls are currently 5/4 to be relegated at Sky Bet.
The confirmation of Ahannach's arrival comes after the club agreed a fee with Club Brugge for Colombia winger Jose Izquierdo, while reports also suggest they have made a move for Raphael Dwamena of FC Zurich.
1353: Swansea head coach Paul Clement has not named Gylfi Sigurdsson in the squad for their season opener away at Southampton on Saturday, sparking further rumours about his potential move to Everton. The Icelandic midfielder is 1/10 to sign for Koeman's side before the transfer window ends, while he is 11/2 at Sky Bet to remain at Swansea.
In the Championship, Bristol City striker Gustav Engvall has returned to Djurgardens on loan for the remainder of the Swedish season. The 21-year-old will stay with the club until November 30 as he looks to be crowned the Allsvenskan's top scorer.
1210: Brighton have confirmed they are close to completing the capture of Colombia winger Jose Izquierdo from Club Brugge. The Seagulls broke their transfer record by signing midfielder Davy Propper from PSV Eindhoven on Monday, and now hope to have done so again with Izquierdo - in a deal thought to be worth £13.5 million.
The Premier League newcomers have agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old and a fee with the Belgium outfit. They expect to seal the transfer in the next 24 hours.
1113: It has emerged that Marseille boss Rudi Garcia has given up hope of signing Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud. The France international, who is 1/3 with Sky Bet to stay at Arsenal, has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium after struggling to secure a regular place in Arsene Wenger's starting line-up last season.
Compatriot Alexandre Lacazette arrived at Arsenal this summer in a big-money transfer from Lyon, a move which is likely to further damage Giroud's hopes of securing more game time this term, but Garcia has admitted defeat in his pursuit of the 30-year-old.
Favourites to sign the Frenchman are now Everton, who are 9/4 at Sky Bet to land Giroud at Goodison Park.
1021: Championship side Middlesbrough accept £13 million bid from Serie A side Atalanta for midfielder Marten de Roon. The 26-year-old Dutchman joined Boro from the Italian side last summer in a £12million move ahead of their return to the Premier League, but a deal has been agreed to allow de Roon to head back to Italy.
Meanwhile, in the Premier League, Spurs left-back Danny Rose has admitted he would consider offers to leave the club and "play up north" before the end of his career. The England defender remains odds-on to stay at Tottenham, however he has been linked with a move to Manchester United, with Sky Bet offering 2/1 on Rose to make the move to Old Trafford. 0900: Good morning and welcome to another edition of The Transfer Bulletin. This morning's big news is the latest on Philippe Couthino's link with Barcelona with Liverpool reportedly turning down a second bid of £90million for the playmaker.
Coutinho is now into evens with Sky Bet to make the switch to the Nou Camp and odds-on to stay at Anfield.
It looks like Gareth Bale is going to stay at Real Madrid afterall with Sky Bet offering 1/5 for the Wales international to remain with the European champions, despite interest from Jose Mourinho. Read the latest here.
