1725: That's all from us for another day of transfer chat, including Newcastle completing another signing and Chelsea entering the race to land Renato Sanches.

Keep up-to-date with all the transfer news with our daily Paper Talk.

And finally, our thoughts go out to Alexis Sanchez and Neymar during troubling times.

1654: An off-field change to report - former boss Gary Megson is back at West Brom, as Toiny Pulis' new assistant. Back to the future with that one!

1508: We hate to say we told you so, but Gareth Bale's agent has dismissed the "ridiculous" speculation suggesting he could leave Real Madrid this summer.

The former Spurs man has been backed into 7/2 with Sky Bet to join Manchester United with Real Madrid expected to break the transfer world record to buy Kylian Mbappe.

1420: On the back of his fabulous strop in training, Neymar has now been backed into as short as 1/2 to join PSG this summer.

That means you can now get 6/4 on the Brazilian not making a £195m transfer which has no real substance from one of Europe's greatest clubs to one which plays in a league where its champions sell all of their best players.

We'll harp on about the value of backing 'to stay' many more times this summer, but this is surely the best yet.

1250: Deals done, one in the top flight with Newcastle taking midfielder Mikel Merino on a season-long loan from Dortmund, and one in the Championship as relegated Middlesbrough confirm the signing of Ashley Fletcher from West Ham for £6.5million.

1225: Chelsea continue to shorten in the betting on Renato Sanches' next club and are now 2/1, with AC Milan drifting out to 7/4.

1124: A quick note for those getting giddy about the idea of Gareth Bale joining Manchester United this summer - it will never happen.

The Wales star has been backed in to 4/1 with Sky Bet to move to Old Trafford this summer on the basis that Real Madrid might be willing to sell if they sign Kylian Mbappe, a 4/11 chance.

However, there is the small issue that Bale, the heir to Cristiano Ronaldo's throne, has no interest in leaving the European champions for the sixth best team in England.

1054: Spare a moment, if you will, to offer some sorrow to the suffering species of our betrayed planet.

Times are tough for two in particular, Alexis Sanchez and Neymar.

The former was expected to prove his undying commitment to Arsenal by returning to training but has now posted a picture on Instagram with his dog with some illness-implying emojis.

The latter has been caught on some dodgy footage having a strop in training in Miami after an apparent bust-up with an evil Barcelona team-mate.

We come together in prayer that these two troubled souls can find some sort of comfort in being millionaire superstars, but until then we just hope they can survive this God forsaken transfer window.

Stay safe people.

0959: Quick line coming out of Sky Bet, Chelsea have been backed in from 28/1 to 4/1 to sign Bayern Munich's Renato Sanches.

AC Milan remain odds-on at 1/4 to secure young Portugal young star's services, with Bayern 11/2 to retain his services.

The suggestion is that the German giants are willing to loan out the 19-year-old, having offered him limited first-team opportunities since signing him for £27.5m last summer.

0840:  Arsenal's pursuit of Thomas Lemar shows no sign of coming to an end with L’Equipe reporting that Monaco have turned down a third offer for the player believed to be around £44.7m.

Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has publicly stated the club does not wish to sell Lemar but that doesn't appear to have stopped the Gunners from upping their offer.

Sky Bet make Lemar odds-on at 8/11 to make the move to the Emirates and 11/10 to stay in Monaco.

0800:  Good morning and welcome to Friday'sTransfer Bulletin and as usual we have a packed Paper Talk for you to digest as you tuck into breakfast!

Barcelona could tempt Liverpool into parting ways with Philippe Coutinho by using influential midfielder Ivan Rakitic as part of the deal was one story that immediately caught my eye - what would Liverpool fans think of that?

And Roma are set to return with a new £32m bid for Leicester's wantaway winger Riyad Mahrez.
