New Group Bets format: The Sporting Life team give their weekend wagers for their Group Bet

Take a look at the selections from the Sporting Life team as they embark on week 20 of their Group Bet campaign, a new way to bet on football at Sky Bet.

Our football team have created their own group and if you want to do the same, all you have to do is set one up and invite your friends before building an accumulator together.

Once all group players have chipped in with their selection, you can choose whether you want to back it as an accumulator or take out a leg of the bet, in case you think one of your mates has thrown in a dodgy choice.

Week 19 Reaction:

It was a clean sweep for Sky Bet as all four selections from the Sporting Life Group Bet lost. Ben Linfoot and Billy Lumsden suffered defeats as their respective Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland picks drew.

Bolton recorded a surprise victory over Millwall to compound Tom Carnduff to a fourth loss in a row, while George Pitts' Scunthorpe selection also failed him against Bristol Rovers. Here are the current Sporting Life Group Bet standings:

  1. Tom Carnduff: W-W-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-W-L-W-W-W-L-L-L-L (18 PTS)
  2. Ben Linfoot: W-L-W-L-W-W-W-L-L (15 PTS)
  3. George Pitts: W-L-L-L-W-L-W-W-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-W-W-W-L (15 PTS)
  4. Billy Lumsden: L-W-L-L-L-L-L-W-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-W-W-L (12 PTS)

Check out Sporting Life's Group Bet for Saturday's Premier League and EFL action, which is made up of four selections from the team:

Billy Lumsden: Sheffield Wednesday (to beat Blackburn) - 1/1

Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten under Steve Bruce, winning four and drawing five of their nine Sky Bet Championship matches thus far. They currently occupy 11th place, though they are only four points off the valuable last play-off spot. Balckburn recorded their first win in eight when they dispatched Wigan last time out, but will find it too much against an in-form Wednesday side, rejuvenated under Steve Bruce.

George Pitts: Leicester (to beat Burnley) - 1/1

Brendan Rodgers got his first victory as Leicester boss last week and he will be hoping the winning feeling can continue for their trip to Turf Moor. They face a Burnley side who beat Tottenham on home soil less than a month ago, but they have since lost three successive Premier League matches and will be looking nervously over their shoulders with just a two-point cushion over the bottom three.

The Foxes had plenty of positives to take from last weekend's 3-1 win over Fulham, with plenty of aggression and intent, and another week on the training ground with their new boss will have done them the world of good. Jamie Vardy has been tipped to flourish under the Northern Irishman after an encouraging performance - where he netted his 100th goal for the club and hit his fourth in as many games.

Tom Carnduff: Hull (to beat QPR) - 1/1

The Tigers are unbeaten in their last nine home games, seven of which have been victories. They come up against a QPR side who are out of form, which includes five consecutive league defeats on the road.

Ben Linfoot: Preston (to beat Birmingham) - 1/1

Preston are in incredible form under Alex Neil, with their unbeaten run stretching to 11 after their 2-1 away win at promotion-chasing Middlesbrough. They have won seven and drawn four in that period, while Birmingham suffered a defeat to Millwall through the week and have now lost three consecutive Sky Bet Championship matches, failing to score in all three of those. Preston are two points off the play-off places and could well find themselves in sixth by the end of their match.
