Sky Bet League One round-up: Shrewsbury return to summit

Review and updated odds from Tuesday's action in Sky Bet League One as Shrewsbury went back to the top of the table.

Shrewsbury climbed back to the top of Sky Bet League One after a 4-0 home win against Bristol Rovers extended their unbeaten start to 14 matches.

The Shrews, the only unbeaten side left in the Football League this season, were knocked off top spot by Wigan at the weekend after drawing their previous two games.

But Paul Hurst's side blitzed Rovers with three goals in the first 29 minutes through Alex Rodman, Carlton Morris and Jon Nolan before Junior Brown's header made it 4-0 at half-time and they are 7/1 chances with Sky Bet for the title.

Wigan (8/13 favourites) extended their unbeaten run to five games, but had Sam Morsy to thank for a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Gillingham, who had taken the lead through Tom Eaves' header.

Bradford (14/1) failed to make up ground on second-placed Wigan after they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Oldham, for whom Eoin Doyle cancelled out Paul Taylor's early opener.

Rotherham stay fourth despite Lyle Taylor's hat-trick condemning them to a 3-1 defeat at AFC Wimbledon.

Joe Newell cancelled out Taylor's first-half opener after the interval, but the home striker struck twice in the final five minutes.

In-form sides Oxford and Charlton extended their respective unbeaten runs after drawing 1-1 at the Kassam Stadium.

Christian Ribeiro equalised for Oxford after Tariqe Fosu's sixth goal in four matches had given Charlton the lead.

Marc-Antoine Fortune's first goal of the season for Southend was cancelled out by Peterborough's Jack Marriott in a 1-1 draw at Roots Hall, while Doncaster clinched their fourth win of the season, 2-1 at home against Portsmouth.

Liam Mandeville and Christian Burgess's headed own goal put Doncaster 2-0 up inside the opening five minutes before home defender Mathieu Baudry put through his own net early in the second half.

Pompey's cause was not helped when Dion Donohue was shown a straight red card for kicking out at Niall Mason in the 71st minute.

Jordy Hiwula fired a late equaliser to earn Fleetwood a 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe, who had led through Lee Novak's first-half goal, and Blackburn were held 1-1 at home by bottom club Plymouth.

Bradley Dack equalised in first-half stoppage time after Graham Carey had given Plymouth the lead.

Curtis Tilt headed Blackpool's second-half winner in a 2-1 victory against Bury at Bloomfield Road, where Jermaine Beckford had cancelled out Kelvin Mellor's opener for the home side.

Tyler Roberts converted from the penalty spot to earn Walsall a 1-1 draw at MK Dons, who had edged ahead through Chuks Aneke's header.

Northampton fought back from 2-0 down to secure a point in a 2-2 draw at Rochdale, but John-Joe O'Toole's late penalty to win it for the visitors was saved by Josh Lillis.

Ian Henderson gave Dale a half-time lead and followed up to add another from a rebound after his second-half penalty had been saved.

Ash Taylor headed the Cobblers back in it and David Buchanan fired a 78th-minute equaliser before O'Toole's missed penalty left Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side winless in their last eight league matches.
