Luka Modric is the odds-on favourite to win the 2018 Ballon d'Or next month.
The Real Madrid and Croatia ace, 33, is 2/5 to cap off a fine year for club and country, in which he helped Los Blancos to a third successive Champions League title before playing a key role in Croatia's run to the World Cup final in Russia.
He was the winner of FIFA's The Best awards in London in September (below), beating Cristiano Ronaldo and Mo Salah to top spot.

Ronaldo, now at Juventus, is the current 6/1 joint-second favourite for the Ballon d'Or, an award he has won in four of the last five years.
Lionel Messi, a rival to Ronaldo for the award over the last decade, is this time a 20/1 outsider along with Salah, who won the Premier League's Golden Boot during a fine first season with Liverpool.
France star Antoine Griezmann is alongside Ronaldo at 6/1, with team-mates Raphael Varane, Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba also among the World Cup winners on the shortlist, along with England-based stars Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and Kevin De Bruyne.
The ceremony takes place on Monday December 3.
The list is curated by the editorial office of France Football, and the winner is then picked by a panel of international journalists.
