Our final news of the day is a big one, with Sky in Italy saying that Manchester United have turned down an audacious Barcelona swap deal for Paul Pogba.
The Spanish side offered £45m plus Colombian defender Yerry Mina and midfielder Andre Gomes, but that has been instantly turned down by the decision makers at Old Trafford. Mina has been on Jose Mourinho's radar but United are reportedly preparing to launch a bid to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester.
Pogba to Barcelona has been doing the rounds for a while with the World Cup winner meeting with Barcelona ambassador and fellow Frenchman Eric Abidal during pre-season. There's no doubt that Pogba has a difficult relationship with Mourinho, who was hardly glowing in his praise for his midfielder's performances in Russia this summer.
Barcelona are the 5/2 favourites to sign Pogba but he's 4/11 to remain at Old Trafford this season.
Brazilian winger Bernard is said to be on his way to Merseyside with Sky Sports News reporting that Everton have managed to beat the likes of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid to the 25-year-old's signature.
The Shaktar Donetsk man is out-of-contract with his former club and the word is that he's on his way to Everton with a medical due in the next deay or two.
Reports circulating that Thibaut Courtois has failed to turn up for Chelsea training as he tries to force through a move to Real Madrid. The news has led to Courtois now going 2/7 to join the Champions League winners this summer, while he's 11/4 now to remain at Chelsea.

Rafa Benitez has finally got his man as Salomon Rondon joins Newcastle on a season-long loan, while Dwight Gayle heads in the opposite direction and joins West Brom on the same loan deal.
A good move for both parties is the general consensus - Gayle has a fine scoring record in the Championship and will be a godd addition to Darren Moore's side. For Newcastle, Benitez has another signing to keep him happy, for now!

Thibaut Courtois looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge to join Real Madrid before Thursday, and it's Stoke's Jack Butland who has been targeted as his replacement at Chelsea.
The England goalkeeper played for the Potters in their opening day defeat at Leeds in the Sky Bet Championship, but has been backed for a move away all summer. He's now 7/4 to join Chelsea as he seems the preferred option ahead of Jordan Pickford.
Harry Maguire and England team-mate Jamie Vardy are back at training with Leciester ahead of Friday's Premier League opener against Manchester United. His future is very much still up in the air though with Man Utd reportedly preparing a huge bid to take him to Old Trafford.
Maguire is 9/4 to sign for Jose Mourinho's side, and 4/11 to remain at Leicester, this one may go down to the wire.

Manchester United have approached Bayern Munich over a deal for centre-back Jerome Boateng, according to Sky in Germany.
The Premier League side believe their Bundesliga counterparts will ask for around £45m to allow the Germany international to leave the Allianz Arena.
It is understood that Boateng - who spent a season at United's bitter rivals Manchester City - could be open to a move to Old Trafford.
However, United are not the only side who are interested in the 73-cap international. Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said last month that Boateng was in talks with PSG.
Nabil Fekir has long been linked with a move to England with Liverpool, but the Lyon playmaker could now be on his way to Chelsea instead! The player himself says he's happy at Lyon but "everything goes very quickly in football."
Liverpool are still in the mix, but Chelsea are the new 5/2 favourites to land the French World Cup winner before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
Aston Villa have completed the loan signing of Manchester United youngster Axel Tuanzebe.
The 20-year-old defender joined Villa on loan in January but a season-ending ankle injury cut his spell at the club short after just five games.
Seven months on and Villa have added Tuanzebe to their ranks for the duration of the 2018/19 campaign.
Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United this summer following he breakdown of his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, reports Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona and Juventus are battling for the World Cup-winning Frenchman’s signature and the Italian champions are willing to offer playmaker Miralem Pjanic in part-exchange.
Pogba has been linked with a move away this summer despite starring for France at this summer's tournament in Russia.
Wolves have agreed a club-record fee to sign Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore, according to Sky Sports.
The player has an £18m release clause in his Boro contract but it's reported that Wolves are likely to pay more than that, with an initial £10m up front, and more in instalments which will take the total to over £20m, depending on appearances.
There is broad agreement over personal terms and Traore is expected to complete a medical on Monday.
Have the Premier League let slip on a potential deal here?
According to the player's profile on the official Premier League website, the England midfielder is listed as being at Crystal Palace on-loan this season.
Loftus-Cheek spent last season on-loan at Palace, from parent club Chelsea, scoring two goals in 27 appearances for the club.
Tony Pulis admits Middlesbrough must add more quality to their squad if they are to win promotion back to the Premier League this season.
Boro came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Millwall on the opening day of the campaign but Pulis warned ahead of Tuesday's clash with Sheffield United that they will need to step up.
"We know we have to bring players in," he told several local and national newspapers. "That group is not good enough to get us promoted.
"It's a smashing group, but it's not good enough to get us promoted. We need to add to the group."
Boro were beaten by Aston Villa in last season's play-off semi-finals and are among the favourites to challenge again, despite Pulis' doubts.
Everton are reported to have pipped United in the pursuit of Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina, once considered a Mourinho target.
The Toffees are said to have reached a £28.5million, five-year deal for the Colombia international, who is set to be the second Barca player to switch from the Nou Camp to Goodison Park this summer after Lucas Digne.
Marco Silva's men are 1/8 with Sky Bet to secure Mina's signature before the deadline.
Arsenal misfit Lucas Perez is closing in on a move to West Ham, with the forward keen to remain in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old joined the Gunners two years ago but spent the entirety of last season on loan at former club Deportivo.
Having been included in Arsenal's pre-season tour of Singapore it appeared Perez was potentially going to be given a fresh start under new head coach Unai Emery.
But Press Association Sport understands a transfer across London to join the Hammers is edging closer as Thursday's transfer deadline approaches, with Perez wanting another chance to make his mark in England.
