Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius could be about to leave Anfield with Turkish side Besiktas looking to complete a two-year loan move for the German.
The 25-year-old is with the rest of Jurgen Klopp's squad in London to face Crystal Palace, but it could well be his last trip with the Reds for some time with talks said to be at an advanced stage with Besiktas.
Karius played 33 games for Liverpool last season, but his campaign ended in nightmare circustances with a couple of high-profile errors in the Champions League final.
Klopp has since splashed out £67m for Brazilian keeper Alisson and Karius has been relegated to the role as back-up, but he now looks to be heading to Turkey with the 15-time league champions.
Besiktas, who will have the option to buy Karius at the end of his loan, have also previously spoken to Liverpool about Simon Mignolet.
The news comes hot on the heels of Klopp insisting that Liverpool would have been in the market for Alisson even if Karius had not made those Champions League final errors.
"Even if he had won it and Alisson would have been on the market we would have still signed him," Klopp told Kicker in Germany.
"The Champions League final had nothing to do with us getting Alisson.
"And how the people reacted negatively to Karius after the final, tried to isolate him, almost made me not get Alisson and rather stick it out with Karius.
"But we had to be professional. Our job is to have the best players in every position."
