Joselu handed Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez a 1-1 draw against former club Liverpool as missed chances cost the visitors dearly.
The Spanish striker cancelled out Philippe Coutinho's sumptuous 27th-minute opener nine minutes later, although what he knew about it is debatable after Joel Matip's attempted clearance came back off him and ended up in the net.
It was one of few chances Benitez's current employers created with billionaire businesswoman Amanda Staveley, who is reportedly looking for a Premier League club in which to invest, among a crowd of 52,303 at St James' Park.
By contrast, the Reds carved out a series of openings and but for Republic of Ireland keeper Rob Elliot and some sub-standard finishing, could have emerged with three points rather than one.
The draw completed a 13.6/1 winning treble for our Premier League expert David John on Sunday. Arsenal to score under 2.5 goals v Brighton, Burnley in Double Chance v Everton and Newcastle (+1) v Liverpool all came in for our tipster.
That followed on from 13/10, 5/4 and 6/5 winners on Saturday.
Liverpool have been pushed out from 22/1 to 33/1 in Sky Bet's Premier League title odds.
The Reds are 11/10 for a top-four finish, behind Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham in the online bookmaker's prices.
Newcastle are odds-on at 1/16 to stay up this season and out at 8/1 for relegation.
A defiant Jurgen Klopp is confident Liverpool will improve in front of goal.
He said: "There are different ways to get one win in seven.
"You can play really badly and lose a lot of games, or you play in more than a few games really, really well - in most of the games, actually, we have been the better side, but a few chances have been enough for the opponent to score and we need a lot more and have at the end the same number of goals.
"That has happened too often, of course, in the last few weeks, but the only alternative for us is to carry on. We have to do it like this.
"If we would stop doing this, then I would be concerned. As long as we do it like this, I am not concerned."
The Reds will return to action after the international break with a home game against high-flying Manchester United and while Klopp is confident there is more to come, he knows they will have to be more clinical to get anything out of it.
He said: "I have played a lot of times with different teams in my life really badly and got a point and after that, actually it feels like you have won a point.
"But you know, we have a real problem. We have to play better in the next game because otherwise we will not get a point."
Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez was understandably more satisfied with the draw.
He said: "It's not a question of if I agree with Jurgen or not, it's a question of some games, you have what you deserve, some games not too much.
"In this case, we got one point at home and I don't like that, but still against a top side, I think it's positive."
