WATCH: How not to play out from the back - MK Dons gift Portsmouth opening goal

MK Dons reminded us all of the perils of playing across the back, gifting Portsmouth an easy, early goal in their Sky Bet League One clash on Tuesday night.

Any child that played football at school still has those wise words ringing in their ears from their PE teacher - "never play the ball across your own box"!

Clearly the MK Dons defenders did not listen in their early school days, as they attempted to pass out from a goal-kick, only for it to go horribly wrong.

To make matters worse, this gift was presented to Portsmouth after only four minutes, setting the hosts up perfectly for a 3-1 victory.

By the way, Pompey have scored 14 goals in eight matches, so we don't think they need any extra help scoring.
