Ian Holloway has hit out at Steve McClaren following his sacking as QPR manager, claiming that "he took my job".
McClaren replaced Holloway at the Loftus Road helm in the summer, with the R's hierarchy opting for a change in direction.
Holloway posted a 32.5% win ratio in his second stint as QPR boss and the club finished 16th in the Sky Bet Championship standings at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
McClaren lasted less than a full season in charge after a woeful run of results has seen them move to within eight points of the relegation zone.
The former England manager oversaw 46 matches in all competitions, winning 16 and losing 21.
Speaking following the news of McClaren's departure, Holloway expressed little sympathy and accused his replacement of speaking to QPR chairman Amit Bhatia while he was still in the job.
"He took my job," Holloway told TalkSport, "I still had another year left at the club. I'm still being paid by them now.
"He was talking to the chairman while I was in the job, saying what he’d do. He hasn’t been able to do that.
"What goes around comes around. Where the hell are the young lads I was told to bring through? (Ebere) Eze isn’t playing, what about (Ryan) Manning? They’re not playing.
"I was told to promote the youth and bring people in who cared about the club, it’s not happening."
Holloway wouldn't rule out a move back to the club if they were to consider him.
"Would I go back? It depends who calls me, Les (Ferdinand, QPR director of football) didn’t want me to go," he said.
Holloway, who had a year remaining on his contract when he was sacked, compared McClaren's appointment as his replacement as someone ‘taking his kids’.
"He had my babies and took my kids," he continued. "It means the world to me. I felt I was in the best position to do that job. I wanted an extension on my contract.
"The owners made their choice and that’s football at the end of the day."
Meanwhile, Tim Sherwood is odds-on favourite to become the next QPR manager, with Mark Warburton and Gareth Ainsworth behind in the betting.
