Duffy downs Danes as Republic of Ireland stay unbeaten
Shane Duffy's 85th-minute equaliser maintained the Republic of Ireland's unbeaten start to Euro 2020 qualifying with a 1-1 draw in Denmark.
Denmark looked on course to register the first victory of their qualifying campaign when substitute Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed the hosts in front on 76 minutes, just four minutes after coming off the bench.
But Duffy's towering header from Alan Judge's exquisite free-kick five minutes from time earned Mick McCarthy's side a credible away point that boosts their bid to reach next summer's tournament.
The draw moves Ireland on to seven points at the top of Group D, three clear of second-placed Switzerland and five clear of Denmark, who have now drawn their opening two games.
Navas rolls back the years for Spain
Jesus Navas fired his first international goal in six years as Spain thrashed the Faroe Islands 4-1 to stay top of their Euro 2020 qualifying group.
Sevilla winger Navas has come in from the cold under new Spain boss Luis Enrique, earning his first caps in five years.
And the 33-year-old bagged his first Spain goal since a 2-2 draw with Chile in September 2013 as Enrique's men strolled to victory in Torshavn.
Navas, Sergio Ramos, Jose Gaya and an own goal from goalkeeper Teitur Gestson sealed Spain's third straight win in Euro 2020 qualifying.
Klaemint Olsen turned in a smart strike for the Faroes, but the hosts were ultimately outclassed and forced to bow to Spain's supremacy.
