Enes Unal leaves Manchester City for Villarreal

Enes Unal has joined LaLiga club Villarreal after two years on Manchester City's books.

In the 2016-17 season, the 20-year-old Turkey striker scored 18 Eredivisie goals for FC Twente during a third loan spell away from the Etihad Stadium. He had previously spent time with Genk and at NAC Breda.

He moved to Manchester from Bursaspor in July 2015 but did not qualify for the work permit that would have allowed him to play for City.

He signs for Villarreal, who finished fifth in the Spanish league last term, on a five-year contract, with the transfer being announced on the Yellow Submarine's official website on Wednesday evening.
