Adama Traore scored twice as Wolves stunned Man City 2-0 at the Etihad to leave the champions eight points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
Pep Guardiola's side had to respond after Liverpool had scraped a late victory over Leicester at Anfield on Saturday, but they fell well below their best as laboured at the Etihad.
City dominated possession as expected, but mustered just two shots on target in total - the same as Wolves managed but crucially they were both dispatched by Traore in the last ten minutes.
David Silva hit the bar with a free kick and Bernardo Silva had a great chance blocked, but City were guilty of some mindless defending throughout the game - Patrick Cutrone missing a one-on-one in the first half and Rail Jimenez also being presented with a great chance.

It was Jimenez who set up the first Wolves goal with a fine run, although he waltzed beyond a poor attempted tackle by Nicolas Otamendi, before squaring for the pacy Traore who produced a confident finish beyond Ederson.
Sergio Aguero missed a decent late chance but a stunned Etihad entered the realms of disbelief as Traore repeated the dose with his and Wolves' second in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Amazingly, Traore had failed to score in his last 32 Premier League games, but his sheer pace some him able to bag twice against City's makeshift defence.
There's still a long way to go in the race for the premier League title but the back-to-back champions already find themselves trailing Jurgen Klopp's side by eight points after just eight games.
