Manchester City are the favourites to retain the Carabao Cup after they were drawn against Manchester United in the semi-final.
City were successful over two legs against United in the 2019/20 campaign, winning on aggregate before beating Aston Villa in the final.
In the other game, outsiders Brentford will face Jose Mourinho's Tottenham; the Portuguese is hunting for his first trophy as Spurs manager.
The ties are single-leg games instead of the usual two-legged format at this stage of the competition in order to ease fixture congestion. They will be played on the week commencing January 4.
The final is scheduled to take place at a later date of April 25.

Tottenham are in at a much shorter 7/4 following the draw putting them up against Brentford, while the Bees are huge 16/1 outsiders.

United were the final side to book their spot in the last four, as they left it late to beat Everton 2-0 in a deserved victory at Goodison Park.
Edinson Cavani proved to be a threat throughout and he put the visitors ahead in the 87th minute before substitute Anthony Martial scored in the final moments to secure the result.
City continued their fine form in the competition as Arsenal provided little issues for Pep Guardiola's side, they won 4-1 in the meeting at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
Tottenham avoided a potential slip-up to lower league opposition as they won 3-1 away at Sky Bet Championship outfit Stoke. Gareth Bale, Ben Davies and Harry Kane were all on target for Jose Mourinho.
One side from the second tier has made it this far though with Brentford adding Newcastle to their list of top-flight opponents beaten this season. Steve Bruce's men fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat on Tuesday, meaning they join Fulham, Southampton and West Brom in being defeated by the Bees so far.
