Free betting tips and odds: Sunday's best bets and popular punts

We've rounded up our best bets for today's sporting action and will later highlight the best-backed selections with Sky Bet.

Popular punts

HORSE RACING: Loving A Boom 2.00 Naas

The best-backed horse of the day is Loving A Boom in the opening event at Naas. Trainer Jessica Harrington has her string in fine form at present and the money has arrived for her newcomer today. He was available at 5/1 last night and the Acclamation colt is now vying for favouritism at 2/1.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL: Baltimore to beat Jacksonville

It is another busy schedule in the NFL but the Baltimore Ravens have been the best-backed team of the day ahead of their early kick-off against Jacksonville at Wembley. Punters have been keen to take the 8/13 on offer in the win market and that has been cut to 4/7.

Sporting Life's best bets

HORSE RACING: Monsieur Joe to win 4.30 Naas

The Choisir gelding has tumbled down the weights this season but hinted there's life left in him yet with a much better display at Haydock last time. Key to that display was the testing ground as they didn't get away from him early on, so with conditions riding soft in Ireland you'd hope that would be the case again. The stiff track at Naas in soft ground looks ideal for him and trainer Paul Midgley has an excellent record in Ireland, so perhaps Sunday will be his day. (Ben Linfoot)

FOOTBALL: Newcastle to beat Brighton 1-0

"Goals have been an issue for the Seagulls who have netted just once more in the top-flight and that will obviously make life difficult against a Newcastle side that took six points off them last season. While Newcastle are expected to seal the points, there is unlikely to be much in the game with the visitors two away games this season producing just a goal apiece." (Ian Ogg)

GREYHOUNDS: Jims Chance to win 8.45 Henlow

"Jims Chance (T6) has been in sparkling form at the Bedfordshire track of late and is fancied to extend his winning run to five at 8.46. This 460m contest is no walk in the park, but his smart early gears have been winning the day in recent weeks and it could be a similar story as he returns to the striped jacket." (Chris Oliver)

HORSE RACING: Focaccia to win 3.10 Uttoxeter

"A horse who has applied his trade in better races in his most recent starts is FOCACCIA. This well related six year old hasn’t managed to get his head in front this year but all his races in defeat read pretty well. For me this is a weaker race than he’s been contesting of late and the drop down in trip to 2m should suit. If the ground doesn’t prove too much of a hinderance today I think he will take the beating." (Murt Khan)

NFL: Defensive or special teams touchdown in Baltimore at Jacksonville (Wembley)

"I will suggest an investment on a defensive touchdown at some stage as both respective units are well capable of putting six on the board due to their aggressive tendencies." (David John)
