Mr Stunning wins Hong Kong Sprint for Frankie Lor and Karis Teetan
Mr Stunning secured back-to-back victories in the the Longines Hong Kong Sprint as he once again held off DB Pin at Sha Tin.
The duo filled the first two places in the Group One event last year, but John Size's Hot King Prawn was widely expected to prevail after winning each of his last four starts.
He usually sets the pace but was taken on for the lead by Ivictory in the middle of the six-furlong race and dropped away in the final furlong.
Karis Teetan was getting an excellent tune out of Mr Stunning though, and he flew home with DB Pin, who was also second last year, taking minor honours.
David Elsworth fielded Sir Dancealot in the race, but he never featured in the finish.
Teetan said: "This is incredible, I've never felt like this. It's the first time I've heard the crowd shout like this. Only this horse could give me this kind of win today.
"Twelve months ago he won the race and I was standing in the stands. God was good and I ended up back on the horse and everything ended up perfect.
"He came out so good and I was pretty happy to sit with no cover. My horse never travelled too hard in the race and he really was relaxed. I knew when I pressed the button he was going to go today. This is a dream come true.
"I can't believe I'm standing here doing this. I've worked hard and God has been good to me."
Mr Stunning was handled by Size when he won last year but is now with Frankie Lor, who added: "I'm very happy today. Karis did a great job.
"I took a long time to get my license. I need to keep trying my best to keep going and get more Group One winners."
Elsworth was far from disheartened by Sir Dancealot's performance, believing six furlongs to be a touch short of his optimum trip.
He said: "He actually ran very well even though he finished last. The start was very unsatisfactory as he went in early and was in the stalls for a long time and consequently he fell out the stalls, but that was only a minor thing.
"He moved into the race and he was not beaten very far. We rather thought the trip was a bit on the sharp side as he is best over seven and so it proved. I'm not making too many excuses though."
