Ian Ogg returns with Tuesday's selections from around the tracks after his Monday Nap ran out a well backed winner.

MISTER MOJITO - 17:18 Lingfield (NAP)
MISTER MOJITO went into the My Stable tracker following his reappearance at Yarmouth and nothing he's done since has put me off. He needs a reasonable pace to aim at and didn't get that at Newmarket on his penultimate start nor in a six runner affair there last time. He races from the same mark (below his last winning rating) at a course where he has a perfect three from three record and, coincidentally, Terry Kent's last three runners have all won.
PERFECT NATION - 15:00 Ffos Las
Flann Sunna failed to advertise the form in the Richmond Stakes or, at least, not as significantly as the strong market support pointed to but he wasn't disgraced in fifth in the Group 2 after over racing. PERFECT NATION was favourite to beat him at Windsor and couldn't lay a glove on him but may have faced a very tough task. Those behind have done little for the form and the Lingfield race he won hasn't thrown up a winner yet either but Perfect Nation has looked the part and can concede a penalty in this company.
HALIMEDE - 16:15 Catterick
80/1, 250/1 and 300/1 have been the SPs for HALIMEDE in her three starts in which the closest she's got to the winner being 11 lengths yet she's sure to open close to the top of the betting for this handicap debut and with good reason as her trainer, Sir Mark Prescott, has long enjoyed plenty of success with horses with similar profiles moving up in trip. She's related to a few winners, including Rahmi, who won off 103 in September, and while that's no guarantee of success it would also be no surprise if she proved better than her opening mark of 59. She also holds two entries for Wednesday.
DOWMAN – 18:40 Yarmouth (NAP)
George Boughey and Billy Loughnane are taken to continue their brilliant run of form with DOWMAN in the Strawberry Fields Stud Nursery Handicap at Yarmouth on Wednesday evening. This looks a tight enough race with Dubai Charm a likely favourite but in receipt of 9lb Dowman looks a dangerous rival after two months off during which he was gelded. A tongue-tie (retained) helped him get off the mark at Windsor last time and he looks interesting first time up in this sphere for a yard who are five from 13 in Yarmouth nurseries.
SPIRIT GENIE – 15:45 Pontefract
SPIRIT GENIE is probably in better form than his recent form figures suggest and new headgear can inspire him in the Riu Hotels And Resorts Ladies Day Veterans’ Handicap at Pontefract. Jennie Candlish’s six-year-old (the jumps boys are snorting at his veteran status!) ran well at York on his reappearance and has missed the break twice since then under an amateur rider at tracks (Chester and York) where you can’t miss the break. At Pontefract, under Jason Hart, in first-time blinkers, better is expected.
KING CHERRY – 16:30 Brighton
Down at Brighton I don’t mind taking a chance on KING CHERRY for Stuart Williams in the JenningsBet “We Love Brighton Racecourse” ‘Confined’ Handicap over seven furlongs. He has shown ability relative to this level in novice and maiden company and he probably needed his outing at Sandown last time after 10 weeks off on handicap debut. Eased off once his chance had gone, he could leave his previous form behind here dropped in class.
NAJMET MINZAAL – 17:20 Kempton
Jack Channon’s NAJMET MINZAAL can enjoy the step up to six furlongs in the opening nursery at Kempton. The daughter of, you guessed it, Minzaal, has shaped nicely in three starts so far and just looked outpaced when fourth over five furlongs at Catterick last time. Not beaten far, she’s bred for six and can take her form up a notch switching to six furlongs at Kempton.
