Expert Eye can claim a first Group One success in the Qatar Sussex Stakes. Sir Michael Stoute's charge made such a deep impression when landing the Vintage Stakes at this meeting 12 months ago but things didn't go his way after that.
However he was firmly back on track with a stunning win in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot last time and he is equally effective over this mile trip. It seemed that day that he's learned to race properly, switching off and picking up well from the rear of the field, and he's a horse to follow. He's a value call against hot favourite Without Parole.
Piedita looks tailormade for the test that is the opening Matchbook Betting Podcast Goodwood Handicap.Sir Mark Prescott's charge was impressive at Chester last time and promises to relish this marathon trip.
Corgi ran a cracker to finish second in the King George VI Handicap at Royal Ascot and is my fancy for the 2.25 while Street Parade stormed clear to win at Chepstow last time and is a very speedy juvenile. He will take some pegging back in the Markel Insurance Molecomb Stakes.
