Amazing Red is my fancy to land Saturday's Stobart Rail & Civils Northumberland Plate Handicap.
He produced a career-best effort to win at Newmarket last time and stays every yard of this trip. Ed Dunlop's charge has previous experience of this surface too and all looks in place for a big run.
He's twice the price of favourite Withhold and shouldn't be in my view.
The Betfred Northumberland Vase can go to Cool Sky.
Ian Williams has underlined his talents as a top dual-purpose trainer on numerous occasions and this nine-year-old won on his last Flat start at Glorious Goodwood.
He warmed up for this with a good win over timber at Aintree and at around 12/1 makes plenty of each-way appeal.

He was repeatedly denied a clear run 12 months ago but given a clear passage this time can prove too good for a strong field. He was back to his best at Hamilton last time.
Finally, I like Solar Flair in the opening Betfred 'Supports Jack Berry House' Handicap.
He needs to bounce back after a below-par run at Newmarket last time but is potentially well handicapped and a bold bid from the front looks likely in this company.
