Raven's Lady sets trainer Marco Botti big-race poser with win in Germany
Marco Botti's Raven's Lady is likely to be on her travels once more if she runs again following her Group Two win in Germany on Sunday.
With a date at the December sales inked in, her owners, the Heart Of The South syndicate, need to decide if it is worthwhile chasing further glory.
The Group Ones in Europe have closed without her in them, so she would need to be supplemented for the Champions Sprint at Ascot or the Prix de la Foret at ParisLongchamp.
"She's tough. I was a bit concerned going there that the ground would be too soft, but in the end it was really quick," said Botti.
"Gerald (Mosse) had to nurse her through the early stages, but she came home strong and really stuck her neck out close home.
"Obviously she's a very good filly, she has won at two, three and four. Last year we tried to stretch her out into a miler maybe thinking of the German Guineas, but she's got a lot of speed.
"She's definitely improved this year and her best form is over six. The problem is there isn't really a programme for sprinting fillies.
"We didn't put her in Group Ones as we thought that was maybe flying too high, so if she goes to Ascot or the Foret she would need to be supplemented.
"Otherwise we can look abroad for her, Canada or America, but we are short of opportunities at home.
"She'll be heading to the December Sales as the syndicate comes to an end at the end of this season, but she's very valuable so we'll have to regroup and see what the best option is."
