Cheveley Park Stud have purchased Rumble Inthejungle although the colt will continue to race in the colours of the Rebel Racing Premier syndicate. He stays with trainer Richard Spencer too.
The juvenile has won two of his three starts to date, including his latest outing when running away with the Group Three Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood by two-and-a-half lengths. His next intended start will be in the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster on Friday.
A son of this season’s leading first crop sire, Bungle Inthejungle, out of the Dark Angel mare Guana, he hails from a family packed with speed and precocity, that includes the Group winners Birchwood, Millyant, and Mirza, as well as former Cheveley Park Stud stalwart and champion sire Prince Sabo.
Cheveley Park Stud Managing Director, Chris Richardson, said: "We are delighted to have acquired the very good looking and highly talented Group 3 winner Rumble Inthejungle. We look forward to racing Rumble Inthejungle in partnership with Phil Cunningham’s Rebel Racing Premier syndicate, in whose colours he will continue to compete."
Spencer added: "Rumble Inthejungle is without doubt a hugely exciting horse that possesses an abundance of natural speed. He also has a fantastic attitude, which will stand him in good stead for the future. I am delighted and honoured to train for Mr and Mrs Thompson, and we hope and look forward to some exciting days ahead."
