The market seems to be right ahead of Saturday’s feature at Cheltenham, with RATHER BE and Baron Alco the standout pair. In addition to the highlighted trends, five of the last 10 winners had contested the BetVictor Gold Cup prior to this, with the latter bidding to emulate Exotic Dancer, who completed the double back in 2006. Preference is for Rather Be, who was travelling sweetly when being brought down last month and remains on the same mark, which is 6lb higher than his Festival second and keeps him below the 151 threshold.
