Samcro among entries for Saturday's Coral Ascot Hurdle
Samcro has been handed an entry in Saturday's Coral Ascot Hurdle where he could face a clash with Laurina.
Gordon Elliott took last season's Ballymore winner at Cheltenham out of Sunday's Unibet Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown and he was expected to head to Newcastle for the Fighting Fifth next.
However he is among 11 acceptors for Saturday's race - over two-and-a-half miles - which has always been the intended starting point for Laurina.
She was the star novice in the mares' ranks last season, winning at Cheltenham and Punchestown, and has been popular in the ante-post market for the Unibet Champion Hurdle this autumn.
If The Cap Fits and We Have A Dream head the home defence with the latter's trainer, Nicky Henderson, also entering Call Me Lord.
Lil Rockerfeller, Old Guard, Babbling Stream, Rayvin Black, Sussex Ranger and Tomngerry complete the field.
