LNAA Critical Care Novice Stakes (GBB Race) (Div 2)

Made plenty of appeal on pedigree and looked potentially useful as she landed the odds first time up at Ripon (1m). Easily the most interesting of those with experience and has strong claims to follow up under a penalty.

Returned from 6 months off to finish fourth in an ordinary C&D fillies maiden second time up. Subsequently sold out of the Karl Burke yard for only 2,000 gns and has a bit to prove on the back of a further 16-month absence.

260,000 gns yearling, Night of Thunder gelding. Dam, 1¼m winner, half-sister to smart 7f-1¼m winner Hadaatha out of smart winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner) Hathrah. Yard's recent strike rate with newcomers is excellent and he needs a close look in the betting.

Offered little in a tongue strap on debut at Windsor in late-June. Hard to fancy in the short term.

Open to progress following 8¾ lengths fourth on debut here in April (6f). Longer trip/subsequent 3-month absence both question marks, though.

Very weak in the betting and could hardly have shown less in tongue strap on debut at Newbury in early-June. Concerning that he's since been sold out of Karl Burke's yard for only 5,000 gns, a fraction of what he cost as a yearling. Also gelded.

Just fair form at best in 4 starts for Aidan O'Brien and was sold for 24,000 gns following his 2½ lengths third at Naas (6f) in October. Returns over a longer trip following a breathing operation, with tongue strap/visor also added to the mix. Claims but it's hard to be confident.

Went with no promise in a 7f maiden here in July.

Fared no better than on debut on first start for new connections at Nottingham (125/1) earlier this month.
