Landed a second Chester listed success last year. Creditable length third (Witness Stand behind) in the latest running of that race but he's short of the required standard here.
Very smart performer who was second to Witness Stand in this last year. Returned from a gelding operation to win 7f Haydock listed race in May. Best work late when 1½ lengths fifth of 18 to Almeraq in Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot (6f, good to firm) since. Good shout back at 7f.
Ready winner of the Group 2 Park Stakes at Doncaster (7f, good) in September. Left a disappointing effort in Saudi in February behind when 1½ lengths second of 11 to Paborus in Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle (6f) 31 days ago. Merits consideration.
Winless since 2024 but still still capable of smart form, as shown when third to Ten Bob Tony and Witness Stand in 7f Epsom Group 3 in June. Only 6½ lengths seventh of 11 to Paborus in another Group 3 at Newcastle (6f) since, though.
Smart performer who caused a huge upset in the Sussex Stakes at this meeting last year. Back to winning ways when proving too strong for Never So Brave in 7f York Group 3 last month and he's 3-3 at Goodwood.
Bounced back with a bang from a below-par effort in listed company in France when winning 28-runner Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) 6 weeks ago. That level of performance is good enough to be competitive at this level.
Saw off Lake Forest to win this race last year. Back to his best after a breathing operation (also tongue tied) when narrowly denied by Ten Bob Tony in Group 3 at Epsom on Derby day but needs to shrug off a disappointing effort at Chester since.
Useful effort to win 7f Kempton handicap in May. Appeared to improve on that form when 6 lengths fifth of 6 to Bow Echo in St James's Palace at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) but he was never remotely involved. Faces another stiff task here.

Forecasts
Lake Forest (10/11), Qirat (4/1), Witness Stand (17/2), Marvelman (9/1), Poet Master (14/1), Rogue Diplomat (16/1), Holguin (18/1), Lord Britain (50/1)
LAKE FOREST returns to what is probably his optimum distance after his eye-catching fifth in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee at Royal Ascot and can prove too strong for course specialists Qirat and Witness Stand.
