Promising fourth in a strong Doncaster novice on debut last June but still looked green when mid-field in a valuable Windsor maiden later that month. Since sold from Andrew Balding for 85,000 gns (gelded in the interim) and remains open to progress for new connections.
Fairly useful performer for Andreas Wohler in Germany (fourth in the German 2000 Guineas) who looked rusty on stable/handicap debut at Redcar and ought to do better back in a maiden with a run under his belt.
140,000 gns Lope De Vega gelding offered something to work on when sixth of 10 on debut at Newcastle and while he's open to improvement, Affettuoso may well be the stable first string.
€180,000 2-y-o, Medaglia d'Oro colt. Half-brother to several winners, notably smart US 1m-1¼m winner Cabo Spirit. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner who stayed 1m. Newcomer makes appeal on paper, and the market should offer plenty of clues with his yard saddling 4 runners.
Well-bred son of Lucky Vega offered a fair bit to work on, despite obvious greenness, when fifth of 12 on debut in 1m Southwell maiden last month. Yard has had plenty of second time up winners of late and he's expected to take a step forward here.
€300,000 yearling (private sale), Kingman colt. Dam, placed at 8.5f-11f in France/US, sister to useful 1m winner Redwood Kitten. Newcomer is certainly one to note, especially if supported.
240,000 gns Kingman colt was held back by inexperience when seventh of 11 at Windsor on debut but given his pedigree/stable, he looks sure to progress.
1,500,000 gns Dubawi gelding showed a bit more than on debut (has worn cheekpieces for both starts) when third of 6 in a 1¼m maiden at Leicester. That was likely an above-average race (second won since), though the drop back to 1m isn't guaranteed to suit.
130,000 gns yearling, Too Darn Hot gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including smart French 1m winner Dan and useful 5f/6f winner Mokaatil. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner. Interesting type on paper and the market should guide.
280,000 gns Too Darn Hot colt ran to a similar level as on debut when fifth of 11 at Windsor on return and may fall short again in a similarly competitive event.
14,000F, 32,000Y. Zoustar gelding. Half-brother to 6f winners Ertebat and Kameki. Dam, 7f winner, half-sister to 7f/1m winner Remediesofspring out of useful 6f winner Prescription. Market can guide with yard also saddling Lone Warrior.
Twilight Son gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 1m-1½m winner Almosh'her and 2-y-o 7f winner Pappa Louis. Dam useful Italian 9f-11f winner. Newcomer is probably one for the longer term.

Forecasts
Kahin (10/3), Harmonics (7/2), Affettuoso (4/1), Lone Warrior (11/2), Intsaar (11/2), Eljowhary (7/1), King Of Thebes (8/1), Levens Hall (14/1), Mostaan (20/1), Mehmas Champion (20/1), Golden Buddy (22/1), Sunnie Jim (50/1), Renovator (125/1)
Plenty of interesting types but AFFETTUOSO should take all the beating if ready to roll. Mehmas Champion makes appeal on the best of his form in Germany, while Lone Warrior is worth noting in the betting on return for a new yard. Better is expected from Harmonics and he completes the shortlist.
- Mehmas Champion20/1
- Lone Warrior11/2
