Belardo filly who cost 52,000 gns as a yearling and is closely related to smart 2-y-o 1m winner Wajeez, and half-sister to useful 1¼m winner Ladurelli. Yard's first juvenile runner of the year won at Newmarket on Friday, so merits maximum respect.
Iffraaj filly out of a winning sister to Dubai World Cup winner Monterosso. Yard has made a quick start with its 2-y-o's this month, so this well-bred filly merits a close look on debut.
First foal of fairly useful 5f winner Passionada, herself a half-sister to same connections' useful 5f-7f winner Secretinthepark. Yard not known for 2-y-o exploits, however, and others more appealing.
Showcasing half-sister to useful 6f winner Beyond Equal out of a winning half-sister to useful 5f handicapper Singeur. Cost 130,000 gns last year, and represents leading connections, so one to be interested in.
£30,000 first foal, by Kodi Bear, of a modest maiden whose first foal showed little in three runs last year. Only of interest if attracting support in the market.
Pride of Dubai half-sister to 2-y-o 7f winner Leeshaan out of a once-raced sister to Rip Van Winkle. A very cheap purchase at €3,500 last autumn, which casts some doubt on her immediate prospects.
By Starspangledbanner out of a 2-y-o 7f winner. Cost €12,000 as a foal, and represents a yard with a modest win record with juveniles. Best watched on debut.
Forecasts
Monza City (15/8), Sarsaparilla (7/2), Golden Melody (4/1), Star Of Emaraaty (4/1), Scarlet Bear (9/1), Velocistar (40/1), Pacopash (80/1)
The market will surely be helpful, but William Haggas produced a smart filly to win first time at Newmarket on Friday, and his GOLDEN MELODY makes as much appeal as anything on paper. Others who tick the right boxes on paper are Monza City and Sarsaparilla, both appealing on pedigree, and representing high-percentage trainers.
