80-rated triple Flat winner won with more in hand than the 1L margin suggested on debut over timber at Market Rasen. Upped in class now but the same can be said for most and he merits respect for a yard with plenty of decent juveniles.
85-rated on the Flat; made a winning hurdles debut in a very winnable race at Bangor before coming up just short under a penalty at Newcastle. Better ground today can help and he is respected in an open enough contest.
Built on two promising efforts in novice company when landing a Fontwell handicap latest off a mark of 122. Will need to improve again in this warmer race but having been overlooked once he isn't to be again.
Useful Flat type (stays well) who improved for the refitting of blinkers to open his hurdles account at Kempton defeating Paseo. No show in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham latest but this doesn't have as much depth as that appeared to.
Sedgefield maiden winner held next at Newcastle and rated around 30lb inferior to the majority of these on the Flat so surely facing a tough task now.
Ran three times in France without success although she was third in an Auteuil Listed race last time out. Joined a trainer with few peers where juvenile hurdlers are concerned so anything but a bold bid would be surprising.
Forecasts
Tombee Du Ciel (11/8), Navajo Pass (10/3), Lord Lamington (10/3), Paseo (11/2), Prefontaine (16/1), Robeam (33/1)
Alan King always seems to unearth a couple of smart juvenile hurdlers and in the useful Flat performer LORD LAMINGTON he may have another. The son of Australia jumped well and quickened nicely when winning at Market Rasen nine days ago and he is taken to follow up in this warmer contest. Tombee Du Ciel could be anything but she has been purchased by wealthy owners with a very good handle on French racing; the decision to come here with a maiden is interesting. Navajo Pass had comparable form to the selection on the Flat and he too must be respected after two good runs to start his hurdling career.
- Lord Lamington
- Tombee Du Ciel
- Navajo Pass
