Again unable to mount a serious challenge at Musselburgh on second start for this trainer, seems more at home on artificial surfaces and others are preferred here.
Both previous career wins achieved at Wolverhampton and is better on a synthetic surface; though didn't run badly in a claimer at Redcar (1m2f, good; 9-2) latest and could offer more now starting for new trainer.
Getting on a bit and former C&D winner hasn't put his head in front anywhere since 2017 (21 starts since). Should be fitter for recent Hamilton comeback over 1m3f. Well-held both starts here last year.
Five-time career winner (1m1f-1m4f+); including twice over C&D. Left with plenty to do last time over 1m4f at Musselburgh and stayed on to good effect. Should be in the mix with yard now flying.
Latest victory over 1m2f at Haydock in August, though ended the term out of sorts. Potentially well-handicapped for seasonal bow and benefits from 7lb claim to boot. Needs close betting check.
Won a low-grade Salisbury handicap (1m2f, heavy; 6-1) last year and also landed a Goodwood seller. Bit keen when last spotted over timber in December. Best form comes with give in the ground and bypassed on seasonal bow.
Lawman gelding, won a Curragh handicap for Joseph O'Brien last summer and a Redcar seller final start for Roger Fell (both 1m2f, good to firm/soft). Bits of form so far for this handler, handicap mark appeals.
Forecasts
Maulesden May (3/1), Remmy D (3/1), Dragon Mountain (7/2), Guvenor's Choice (5/1), X Rated (8/1), Corton Lad (17/2), Can Can Sixty Two (22/1)
Having been left with plenty to do last time at Musselburgh, dual C&D winner MAULESDEN MAY looks worth a crack back at this favoured venue. His trainer is boasting a 28 per-cent strike rate over the previous fortnight. X Rated and Remmy D are two on very fair handicap marks, while Guvenor's Choice ran an encouraging race last time and may offer more.
