Ran his initial race for this yard on Fibresand finishing down the field; hasn't really shown much form since on polytrack. Slips into this grade for the first time which may make things a little easier; still has question marks against him.
Makes her AW/stable debut having left David Barron and below form when last seen over 5f, soft at Hamilton. Twice a winner over this trip she's still 5lb above her last winning mark; pedigree doesn't scream Fibresand winner, best watched.
Has his quirks but after numerous runner-up slots here he finally managed to get his head in front in two weak non-handicaps in this headgear combination. Has rather reverted to type back in handicaps with two recent defeats; hard to trust.
Not the most straightforward and can look a hard ride; last seen on turf at Beverley last summer over an extended 1m (went with little fluency). Now makes his Fibresand/stable debut back from a break; best watched for now.
C&D winner who returns from a break which could well have refreshed him and should not be judged too harshly on his last run (raced alone). Has won off a break in the past and is more uncomplicated than many of these; worth taking a chance with.
Failed to impress in her two recent starts here although she was hampered on the first occasion; slow way last time. Drops back to 6f here a trip her only win came over at Kempton in September; off a career-low mark today.
Forecasts
Point Zero (7/2), National Glory (7/2), Global Exceed (4/1), Alba Del Sole (4/1), Granny Roz (11/2), Vallarta (8/1)
Some of these aren’t that easy to deal with both Point Zero and Global Exceed having their foibles although the former has run his best races here and acts on the surface and the latter may well benefit from the change of yard. VALLARTA is a more straightforward sort though and despite the break he’s selected to record another C&D victory. National Glory didn’t perform that well on this surface first time around but he is slipping down the grades and that may help him find some form.
