Soft ground Doncaster bumper winner (March 2017), who went within a whisker of making a winning hurdles debut at Kelso last month (2m good); beaten a nose by Temple Man. Leading contender.
Jumped deplorably on his hurdles/stable debut at Wetherby earlier in the month (2m soft), and this ex Seamus Mullins trained four-year-old looks very tough to fancy.
Shown not much more than the odd glimmer in four starts in bumpers, and was beaten a country mile on his hurdles debut (last of four) at Southwell in June (2m good).
Sizeable, scopey sort who switches to hurdles for the first time having finished 13½L third to Niceandeasy in a Newcastle bumper in March (2m heavy). One to keep an eye on in the market.
Looked regressive for Warren Greatrex, but in all honesty did as well as could be expected of him on his stable debut over 2m4f here at the previous meeting (27+L fifth to Niceandeasy). Other days, once sent handicapping.
Not shown anything of any note so far (bumpers and hurdles), and tries a reduced trip on his fourth start over timber. Unlikely to be involved.
Has shown a respectable level of form in bumpers, and was beaten 6½L by the useful Senor Lombardy over C&D in mid October (heavy). A brother to 2m4f hurdles winner Book At Bedtime, one to note now switched to obstacles.
Point-to-point winner (February 2017) who made a winning start under rules (stable debut) when staying on strongly to repel Al Dancer by ½L in a Ffos Las bumper (2m heavy) last month. Respected in the conditions on hurdles debut.
Ex Phil Kirby trained. Raced keenly on stable debut over C&D (soft) earlier this month, before weakening and being pulled up. The tongue tie is now applied, but makes little appeal based upon his four starts to date.
Beaten 2L by Midnite Grace on her hurdles debut at Kelso in April (2m2f soft), and looks like a mare in need of a trip. Races away from Kelso for the first time, but has a mountain to climb with Echo Express based on her seasonal bow.

The Dubai Way (11/8), Echo Express (2/1), Teescomponents Lad (3/1), The Delray Munky (12/1), Le Frank (14/1), Johnny Pedlar (50/1), War Joey (66/1), Storm Warning (80/1), Strike West (125/1), Hooves The Daddy (150/1), Jacarno (200/1)
Ffos Las bumper winner The Dubai Way is a first ever Hexham runner for Oxfordshire based trainer Harry Whittington, so he's likely to be popular in the market ahead of his hurdles debut with the mud predicted to be flying in all directions. Le Frank is a horse of some substance who is very much one to note with the longer term in mind, as is Teescomponents Lad, who will definitely be winning races at some point (probably in handicaps). However, ECHO EXPRESS was arguably a shade unfortunate on his hurdles debut at Kelso. He looked set to prevail, but for a tardy jump at the last, and was literally mugged on the line by the late developing Temple Man. He ploughed through soft ground at Doncaster when winning his bumper, and whilst heavy Hexham ground will be plenty softer still, he'll take the world of beating for Greystoke handler Nicky Richards.
