Ran a very promising race on debut at Nottingham last time, when finishing third and shaping as if he should be able to come on for the run. Should be able to finish in the places at least once again.
Slightly disappointing on debut at Windsor last time out when failing to justify short priced favouritism. Started slowly and capable of better here, and is clearly well-regarded given the sport for him on debut.
Sixties Icon newcomer who cost 24,000gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to five winners, including Group 3-placed Judge 'n Jury. Has been gelded for this debut, which doesn't bode particularly well.
Third on debut over C&D last time out but beaten 11½L and wasn't a particular eye-catcher; best watched on this second racecourse appearance against opponents who have shown more ability.
Beaten 14L into fourth of five at Carlisle on debut last time. Extra furlong here unlikely to make much difference and a big step forward is required in order for him to get involved.
Beaten a long way out but still managed third at Ripon last time out, and put in more promising efforts prior to that. Seems better over this trip and should be thereabouts again.
13-race maiden who is yet to make his mark in either maidens or handicaps and seems to have little chance here against some lightly-raced, unexposed types.
Ran a creditable race at Lingfield two starts ago but outclassed in maidens prior to that and no obvious reason she should put in a massively improved effort here.
Forecasts
Ennjaaz (10/11), Airway (7/4), Munthany (4/1), Grantchester (20/1), Kai Tak And Back (25/1), Velvet Voice (25/1), Fire Whirl (40/1), Ripper Street (100/1)
A few runners of interest here, including ENNJAAZ. Saeed bin Suroor's three-year-old was sent off even money favourite on his debut at Windsor last time out, and though he failed to get the job done there he is clearly well regarded and should be capable of a more accomplished performance now. James Fanshawe's Airway is another who ran well on debut and should also be considered, along with Munthany, who should be better now dropped back down to 1m2f.
- Ennjaaz
- Airway
- Munthany
