In good shape at this track during the spring months, and won over 2m from a 5lb lower mark earlier this month. Previously a runner up to Cape Hideaway over C&D, and merits much respect with his rider taking off a valuable 5lb. Career form figures at this track; 1,1,2,1.
Formerly with David Pipe, and has only ran five times for this yard. Beaten a country mile (59L) by Hexham standing dish Beyondtemptation when runner up over C&D in May, and a bitter disappointment when last of ten at Perth earlier this month. Hard to fancy despite a 5lb drop in the weights.
13 race maiden who once cost an eye-watering £200,000. Has appeared to lack much resolution at the business end of his races (travels well) despite being placed on his last couple of starts. A falling mark will help, but it'll take a stronger finishing effort to break the duck.
Slightly flattered by some of his placed form over hurdles (no match for odds-on winners) and comfortably held from a mark of 110 on handicap debut at Towcester in April. Dropped 2lb and upped in trip wearing first time cheek-pieces.
No real surprise he's enjoyed an upturn in fortunes since joining this yard, and ran out a 3L winner over 1m7f on the Flat at Ayr earlier in the month. Back over hurdles from a mark of 105, and undeniably well treated on form from a few years back.
Form figures at this track between May and November 2015 read; 1,2,1,7,1. However, has struggled to be competitive for over 18 months now. 3m on decent ground seems to suit and probably needed the run here earlier in the month, but still not low enough in the weights despite slipping to a mark of 95.

DESERT ISLAND DUSK was given a fair 5lb rise for his 2m course success earlier in the month, and with a career record at this track which reads 1,1,2,1 is the horse to focus upon. Maurice Barnes has enjoyed a productive year at Hexham, and this six-year-old can add to those gains by getting the better of Vercingetorix who has almost immediately improved for the switch to the excellent yard of Iain Jardine.
