Scored here over C&D (good to firm) in both April and May, before finding the going too tough in a higher grade last time. Back down 1lb and into this company, together with forecast fast ground again and he could be a different proposition today from just 3lb higher than that May win.
Won a 6f Newbury maiden (good to firm) last July but has only really figured once since then. Fast ground is definitely a positive, as is a drop both of 3lb and in grade here and he should make his presence felt from an inside draw.
Won a Ripon maiden (1m, good to soft) last time, when he had the previously-placed favourite behind him. That is probably solid form and a mark of 78 does not look to be far out for this handicap debut. His sire loved fast ground and this trip and there is still plenty of scope for improvement.
3lb better off with Sidewinder for a 2L beating by that reopposing rival when the latter won here last month. Has been slowly away on both his last two starts, which has not helped, so he may be capable of better.
Has not yet managed to add to her 6f Lingfield maiden win (good to firm) from last year, when she was with William Haggas. Twice went close from higher marks than today after that and would have claims if she could be relied upon to reproduce that, but recent efforts give her a bit to prove.
Was brought along steadily in three maidens before striking at the first time of asking in handicap company at Nottingham (1m½f, good to soft) earlier this month. Raised 5lb for that today and the runners in behind do not suggest that it will be an easy task to bridge the gap, but is still all about potential and has to be feared if taking him on.
Finally came good at the tenth attempt in a 7f Musselburgh handicap (good to firm) last time. Will probably stay this far, but still has to really prove that and a 3lb rise does not look insurmountable. Should go well.
Forecasts
Jumira Prince (13/8), Sidewinder (9/2), Ray's The Money (5/1), Anif (5/1), Mutawakked (15/2), Wigan Warrior (17/2), Jumping Around (33/1)
Something of a conundrum for punters and a race where none would be a major surprise if emerging as the winner. However, the suggestion is WIGAN WARRIOR, who might be able to find what is necessary to defy a 3lb rise now that he is back up in trip. Jumira Prince is feared the most, while Anif should be in there pitching and Ray's The Money is capable of better than he has shown on his last two outings.
