C&D winner at two when trained by David Wachman but disappointing since Group 3-placed later that year. Well held in three runs for previous trainer this spring and making his debut for this yard today.
Broke her maiden over 5f at Navan (good-to-yielding) in October last year and made a winning handicap debut over the same trip at Naas (good-to-firm) early last month. Subsequently suffered a ½L defeat in a ten runner contest at Navan (good-to-firm) and likely to prove hard to beat following a 3lb rise.
Successful three times on the AW but 0/18 on turf so far and held in all three turf starts in 2017 including at The Curragh (soft-to-heavy) over 5f earlier this month.
Well beaten in four turf starts since finishing fourth of 12 in first time cheekpieces (left off since) at Dundalk over 5f in January. Handicap mark is falling and worth a check in the market today.
Placed three times in 2015 including on good-to-firm ground at Naas but had just two runs in 2016 and unseen since a 7L seventh of 13 at Tipperary (heavy) over 5f in May of that year.
Admirable mare and a winner six times in a 55 race career. Winner off a 6lb lower mark over C&D on good ground last July but held in all three turf starts so far this season.
Successful in this race in both 2014 and 2015 when racing off significantly higher handicap marks on each occasion. Disappointing in two starts at Navan in 2017 and worth a check in the market for a shrewd trainer here.
Forecasts
Miss Power (8/11), Aggression (6/1), Strategic Force (7/1), Independence Day (15/2), Catwilldo (10/1), Calm Bay (14/1), La Fleur De Force (20/1)
The progressive MISS POWER can get her career back on track following a defeat last time out by claiming this spring handicap. The selection hails from a yard that are known for their speedsters and she is the selection beat veteran Calm Bay, a dual winner of this contest in the past. Of the remainder Aggression is an interesting runner with his handicap mark on the slide and he can finish best of the rest.
