A regular visitor to Scotland since winning a Perth maiden hurdle in July 2016, but a bitter disappointment at that track last month, and faces an extremely tough task in this contest on unfavourable terms.
Early promise over fences has evaporated with his fencing going to pieces upped in class at the Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown festivals. However, previously a talented hurdler (three from seven), so possible that a switch back to the smaller obstacles in a lesser grade will be much appreciated.
Useful performer on turf and the AW on the Flat, and top-rated (146) over hurdles in this contest. A previous course winner in November 2016 (2m good; beat Apples Jade and Petit Mouchoir), and demonstrated his well being when keeping on gamely to score on the Flat at Clonmel last month.
Strong in bumpers for Willie Mullins in 2014/15 winning twice, and on hurdles debut at Gowran in November 2015. However, a Limerick chasing success aside, it has been all downhill since, and this looks a tough ask to go back over hurdles for the first time since April 2016.
Dual winner on the Flat for Jim Bolger, who has yet to achieve much over hurdles in four starts to date. Fifth in a Punchestown maiden hurdle last month, but looks well out of his depth tonight.

Forecasts
Rashaan (8/13), Marinero (9/4), Fagan (3/1), Stone Hard (7/1), Brontide (16/1), Important Moment (33/1)
Previous course winner RASHAAN holds the strongest claims in this feature contest. A talented all round performer, he was possibly a shade flattered when beating Apples Jade here in November, and whilst over 2m, that is by far and away the strongest recent hurdles form on offer. Fagan is yet to be tested outside of novice company (albeit very strong form), and he has a few questions to answer with his progress stunted since his Albert Bartlett career best. Therefore, Marinero should give the selection most to think about. He's lost his way over fences, but was previously talented over hurdles, and did win over 2m6f at this track in the past.
