Not as good as he once was, but showed that he can still cut the mustard from this mark when scoring from it (1m4f) at Lingfield in the winter. Well held when tried just once so far over this trip, but likely to see it out and should be competitive.
Has won twice here over 1m2f and also has a 1m4f success to his name, including on good, although probably at his best on faster ground. This is the furthest that he has raced over and he looks plenty high enough in the handicap at present.
Won over 1m4f on sound/fast ground at Thirsk and Pontefract last month and stayed on well over slightly shorter to claim second in a better contest than this at Haydock last time (good to soft). Same mark today and looks as though this trip is within his compass. Should go very well.
Typically well placed by his master trainer, for whom he has won all four starts from 1m3½f-1m6f, the two turf wins being on good/fast ground on his last two starts. Carries a 6lb penalty for the latest one at Nottingham a few days ago, but such was his authority there that he can probably take this step up in class in his stride.
Dual C&D winner in 2015 who remains 3lb higher than the second of those, which was in cheekpieces. Looked to be coming right back to form over 1m7f here last time and visor now tried. Should be thereabouts.

Lugano (4/7), Mutadaffeq (3/1), Kensington Star (5/1), Euchen Glen (8/1), Sennockian Star (16/1), Braes Of Lochalsh (18/1)
LUGANO is an obvious choice here and, while he is stepped up in class, he keeps on winning with authority and may still have a couple more wins in the locker before the handicapper takes his measure. Kensington Star is feared, given his versatility and the improvement that he has shown, while Mutadaffeq is another who should be capable of picking up some prize money.
