Has proven to be a consistent performer for this trainer and helped to get his fledgling career off the ground. Recorded a second success for the yard over C&D last week and turned out quickly under the penalty in the hope that the rain stays away.
Dual course winner over 1m in 2016, but off since running over hurdles at Taunton in December. Taken out of the race won by Attain last week, and needs to return in fine fettle to be competitive.
Never threatened on his seasonal bow over the extended mile at Wolverhampton last month, and returns to turf handicapped to run a big race, having last won in April 2016 (turf reappearance at Nottingham) from an 11lb higher mark.
Sole career success came at Leicester in May 2016 (7F) and appeared not to get home when upped to 1m4f at Wolverhampton in January, which was his sole start since July 2016. Tongue tie and cheek-pieces applied for the first time and looks far from straightforward.
Twice a winner on the AW over the winter, including when downing Willyegolassiego at Chelmsford in February (1m5f). Versatile in terms of trip and worth another go back on turf having improved since his last run on grass in July 2016.
Once with Sir Michael Stoute, and has recently returned from two years off the track with little impression in two starts at this track for this trainer. Debatable as to how much ability remains and others preferred.

ATTAIN has served Archie Watson well. With rain forecast, the ground is unlikely to be as rattling fast as it was when he won over C&D last week, but assuming conditions remain on the faster side of good, he should follow up under a penalty. The well handicapped Berkeley Vale looks the chief threat, and interestingly he was successful in April 2016 on his return to turf last season.
