Winner over a mile on his debut at Sandown in a maiden on debut last year and faced a stiff task on his only subsequent start as a two-year-old. Made his handicap debut in a brutally competitive race at Sandown last time out and acquitted himself very well of what looks to be a tough mark and raised a further 1lb now.
Made a winning debut last year at Doncaster over 7f and did show some progression in her three starts after that showing up well enough in a Group 2 at Doncaster over a mile. May well have done some damage to her handicap mark there (previously rated 75). Shaped as if the run would bring her on when finishing well beaten at Ascot on her seasonal debut with the yard not quite firing at the moment.
The fitting of a tongue-tie appeared to be the catalyst for an improved performance last time out back from a break when winning an Epsom maiden. That was quite an uncompetitive affair but he has the scope to improve going into a handicap for the first time.
For all his genuine and consistent form there may not be much improvement left in him and he looks vulnerable to improvers here. Ran well to be second at Ripon last time out over a mile but the handicapper looks to have his measure now off a mark of 87.
The form of his Redcar maiden win over a mile has been franked by the win of the second already although that form overall looks weak in the context of this race. Enters handicaps now and still looks to have potential given his pedigree but so do a few others in this.
Took a while to get off the mark but did so at the sixth attempt when scoring at Wolverhampton in November. Came back from a break in a handicap for the first time at Yarmouth over a mile and looked to struggle to cope with his mark in the high 70's and needs dropping a few pounds before he can take a hand.

Some potential improvers in this in the shape of handicap debutantes Leader’s Legacy, Mandarin and Carigrad and it won’t be surprise to see any of those winning handicaps in the future. THE GRAPE ESCAPE looked a rather unfortunate loser at Sandown last time out in one of the hottest three-year-old handicaps of the year so far and he should be given the chance to make amends here in a competitive handicap.
