Landed a modest Bangor bumper a year ago without coming off the bridle. Has struggled under a penalty in better races since. Stable have been going well lately and this looks more like her level.
Full sister to winning point-to-pointer and chaser Lydstep Point out of a moderate dam who won a couple of chases. Yard are 1-30 in bumpers over the past five years.
Yard do well in this discipline and arrive having had four winners in the past week. This filly was weak in the market for her debut at Ascot on soft ground. She took a keen hold that day and failed to see out the trip. Her sire's progeny do better on fast ground and a much improved display is anticipated.
Sister to Scottish Champion Hurdle winner Cockney Sparrow has gone well in three better contests than this. Yard are 4-13 in bumpers here and have been operating at a 33% strike rate over the past fortnight.
Daughter of Malinas and a half-sister to moderate mare Jaunty Clementine. Needs to improve on Chepstow debut but yard have just had their second bumper winner of the year at Exeter on Wednesday night..
Dam was a useful point-to-pointer and has produced a winning point winner (Milan Quartet) and Belcanto who won a bumper and a hurdle for this stable. Yard are 14-105 in these races over the past five years but only 1-26 this season.
Forecasts
Cockney Wren (4/6), Ilovemints (9/4), Cadeaux's Fire (12/1), Queens Cloak (12/1), Jaunty Soria (25/1), Beat Street (40/1), Monda's Legacy (100/1)
Harry Fry is usually the man to follow in these races and he looks to be the safest pair of hands in this with COCKNEY WREN. The filly has her limitations but, having gone down fighting in better races than this, it will be disappointing if she cannot open her account against these. Cadeaux's Fire should do better now racing on fast ground, whilst Ilovemints faces her easiest task since scoring at Bangor.
