Improved for the longer trip to collect at Kelso before dropping away tamely next time. Had a lot of use made of him that day so interesting to see what tactics are employed as he steps up again in distance for a race with little depth.
Brother to Jim Dreaper's bumper winner Sizinguptheamazon. Beat Testify (135 rated winning hurdler for Donald McCain) in a slowly run point-to-point last Spring. Will have support on debut for powerful connections but yard are operating well below their expected strike rate at present.
Showed some promise on debut before finishing last of two finishers next time. Comfortably held that day by a 113 rated horse which suggests he needs to have improved a lot in the interim.
Formerly with Gordon Elliott in Ireland for whom his best effort was to finish second to the 140 rated Westerner Lady. That effort flatters him and he has looked a tricky ride. Headgear removed for first run in seven months.
Winner of a maiden point-to-point on good ground in Ireland before being bought for £35,000 by current connections. Well related to some smart jumps performers in France. Tailed off last of six on his hurdling debut on heavy ground and that run makes him hard to recommend.
Forecasts
Red Rising (4/6), Lough Derg Jewel (3/1), Ultimate Horseman (8/1), Ronn The Conn (9/1), Vouvray (28/1)
All eyes will be on RED RISING here as he makes his NH debut for Dan Skelton. He beat the useful Testify in a point-to-point 11 months ago and in receipt of 6lb from that horse's stable companion, Lough Derg Jewel, he appeals as the likely winner. Nevertheless, his yard are not really firing at the moment and he may not be one to take too short a price about. Lough Derg Jewel won well at Kelso and looks the obvious one to benefit if RED RISING fails to deliver. Ronn The Conn makes most appeal of the rest.
