Very much a standing dish at this track, having won here over hurdles and fences on six occasions, but never beyond 2m 1f. Faces a stiff task at the weights with both Mr Snoozy and Ascendant, but this trip is the major concern.
Four time winner on the Flat, but sole hurdles success from 12 starts came over a slightly longer trip at Market Rasen in June 2016. However, that 19 length success gives him every chance at this level, and he ran well (second) in a stronger race than this over C&D on Boxing Day on his penultimate start over hurdles.
Course winner (for Howard Johnson in April 2011) who is the clear top-rated of this field, and finished second from a mark of 120 at Huntingdon in November for Alan Jones. Not so good on debut for this trainer at Taunton last month, and quickly dropped into a seller.
Rated just 80, which is enough for a horse with a hurdles record of 1 from 36. Probably needed the run at Huntingdon last month (had been off since August), but tough to fancy despite the weak race.
Point-to-Point winner, but a maiden in 17 starts under rules. Twice finished second over fences here in April 2016, but tough to fancy having been beaten a long way in a low grade handicap hurdle last time at Newcastle. Runs in first time cheek-pieces.
Formerly with Gary Moore (last won at Plumpton in December 2015), but has shown little in four starts for this yard this season and drops into a seller today. Runs for the first time in the tongue tie/cheek-pieces combo (has worn tongue tie and visor before).

A very weak seller in which course specialist Discoverie is opposed over this trip, with the vote going to MR SNOOZY who has no questions to answer on that score, having run well in a much better race than this over C&D on Boxing Day.
1. Mr Snoozy
2. Smart Catch
3. Ascendant
