Has struggled since leaving champion trainer Paul Nicholls last summer and tackles longest trip of career here. On a good mark based on best form but maybe doesn't want things quite as soft as this.
Been struggling for form for some time until finishing third at Newton Abbot in November but yet to win on ground this soft. Step down in class a definite positive, however, and does look on a winnable mark.
Shown little on his two starts this term (pulled up both times) but does have good form over this course and distance (12212) and does handle cut underfoot well. Needs to show more but no surprise should drop in grade and return to this track rejuvenate him.
Unexposed for his age, having only his fourth chase start here. Doesn't win often but only previous victory came at track (over hurdles) and on soft ground. Potential to be better over fences and of definite interest here.
Still unexposed as a chaser and trying this trip for only the second time. Inconclusive as to whether he stayed or not using his last run at Wincanton as a guide but worth another try based on his pedigree.
Still a maiden after five starts under rules but there was plenty of promise in his chasing debut last month at Taunton and he has the pedigree to progress over the larger obstacles.
Course and distance winner in his youth and well handicapped on his best form. Not won since March 2015 but signs of life on last two starts including over course and distance in November.
Forecasts
Royal Salute (11/4), Henllan Harri (3/1), Talk Of The South (10/3), Itoldyou (11/2), Sweettoothtommy (8/1), Howlongisafoot (16/1), Leg Iron (16/1)
ROYAL SALUTE is worth another try over a staying trip and this looks a good opening for him to continue his chasing progression. LEG IRON loves this trip at Plumpton and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to form whilst TALK OF THE SOUTH is open to plenty of improvement and has every chance of going close.
1. Royal Salute
2. Leg Iron
3. Talk Of The South
