2000: Gylfi Sigurdsson has rejoined training with the Swansea first-team squad after missing the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

Sky Bet still make Sigurdsson odds-on at 1/3 to join Everton before the summer transfer window closes and he's 7/2 to remain at the Liberty Stadium.

1845: A couple of done deals to report in the Sky Bet Championship. Sunderland have signed striker Lewis Grabban on a season-long loan from Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have added Burnley right-back Tendayi Darikwa on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

1755: One to watch. Mikel Merino is undergoing a medical in the north east ahead of a move to Newcastle from Borussia Dortmund, according to Sky sources

1715: There is a departure to report from Birmingham today as Viv Solomon-Otabor joins Blackpool on loan.

1620: An interesting rumour to watch in the Sky Bet Championship as Press Association Sport report that Birmingham are interested in Bristol City defender Aden Flint.

1553: Everton's Dutch manager has been providing more revelations, confirming interest in Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Icelandic set-piece specialist is just 1/3 to move to Goodison Park this summer, prompting plenty of interest in the Swans at 2/1 to face the drop.

It has been a hectic summer for the Toffees but what does it all mean? Are they set poised to make a title charge?

Probably not. They've lost their top scoring striker and are set to lose one of their most talented, if least consistent, players.

Sky Bet seem to agree, having initially installed them at 80/1, pushed them out t0 150/1 after Romelu Lukaku's sale, and then cut them back to 80/1 after a flurry of decent buys

1435: Ronald Koeman has been speaking about the future of Ross Barkley, confirming he does not have a future at Everton.

The attacking midfielder, who has rejected an extension to his contract which expires in 12 months, is marginally odds-on to join Tottenham, with Arsenal (2/1) and Manchester United (7/1) also linked.

1240: The odds on Philippe Coutinho departing continue to shorten, with the Liverpool star now just 11/10 to make the move to Barcelona.

His odds were 7/1 over the weekend as 5/2 yesterday but, with Neymar now even-money to join PSG, Coutinho is seen is the most likely replacement for his compatriot at the Nou Camp.

It represents further transfer concern for the Reds, who have drifted out from well odds-on to evens to sign Naby Keita with RB Leipzig refusing to sell.

The club’s managing director Oliver Mintzlaff has reaffirmed their stance, saying: “RB Leipzig is looking forward to the next season together with Naby Keita.”

1020: While we're on the ridiculous transfer fee trail, Gerard Pique, author of the “he stays” Instagram post with himself and Neymar cuddling, has said the post was purely a “gut thing”, confirming his is not the Brazilian’s puppet master.

He said: "My Instagram post was a gut thing. I want Neymar to stay. It's my intuition.

"It was nothing official, it doesn't depend on me. Only Neymar can say what will happen, but I hope he stays.

"I try to explain to Neymar, as a team-mate and a friend, the situation he's in. I would say don't go to a league which, with all due respect, is not as good."

1010: Bad news for those who had backed Manchester City in to 5/2 to sign Kylian Mbappe, the Press Association understands that the Etihad club have no interest in matching Real Madrid's interest.

The European champions are thought to have offered £161m for the youngster, although Monaco have denied accepting any bids.

0845: As always, plenty of interesting lines in today's Paper Talk with the Daily Star reporting that Barcelona are preparing a new £80m bid for Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho. The Daily Express take it even further than that by claiming the Brazilian has agreed personal terms with the Catalan giants.

Arsenal will submit a third offer for Monaco's Thomas Lemar, who is valued at £50m by the Ligue 1 champions, say the Daily Mail and West Brom are preparing a third bid for Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson, report the Mirror.

0800: Good morning and welcome to day three of the new week in The Transfer Bulletin.

Let's start by updating you about a couple of deals that happened last night, with defender Phil Bardsley, 32, joining Burnley from Stoke for an undisclosed fee, while top-flight newcomers Brighton have signed forward Izzy Brown from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal.
