1730: Now I know this might come as a shock to you all, but apparently sometimes clubs speak to other clubs' players when they don't entirely have permission to do so. I know, it amazed me as well when I first heard it.

But I'm saddened to report that it seems to have happened again, with Monaco threatening to report some "important" clubs for so-called tapping-up of Kylian Mbappe.

Impossible to narrow down who might be on that list of important clubs, because literally every important club - and some nondescript, insignificant ones - want to sign World Football's Hottest Property.

He's currently 2/1 to join Real Madrid and 5/1 to join Arsenal. Barcelona are 9/1, and Man City 14/1. Despite all this, it's still far from certain he goes anywhere; Monaco continue to dig their heels in and are evens to do so until the window shuts.

1440: Interesting report is from the London Evening Standard. Possibly from editor George Osborne, possibly not.

They say Tottenham target Ross Barkley is also on the radar of Arsenal ahead of his expected departure from Everton next month.

Sky Bet make it 14/1 that Barkley ends up with the Gunners. Spurs are odds-on favourites at 4/6 to complete a deal.

1245: Pep Guardiola has been talking about Manchester City's modest transfer moves, suggesting they could sign three or four more players, including Danilo.

He has also confirmed that City have no interest in selling Sergio Aguero, hopefully quashing the worst transfer speculation of the summer after Chelsea were linked with a move for their wealthy title rival's star man.

1215: Alvaro Morata has been talking to Sky Sports News after arriving at Heathrow Airport following the majority of his journey to complete a move to Chelsea.

Shouldn't take too long to get to Stamford Bridge now!

Asked why he's joining Chelsea, Morata said: "Because it is the best club. Antonio Conte is one of the best coaches in the world and I'm so happy to work with him."

Asked how close he was to joining Manchester United, he said: "I don't know, the most important thing is I am here, and finally I am here. Just the medical and everything is OK. It's one of the best leagues in the world, and I'm so happy to be here.

"I spoke with Azpilicueta, and he told me everything is OK."

1140: A couple of done deals to bring you up to date with.

Brighton have signed midfielder Mathias Normann, 21, for an undisclosed fee from Norwegian second division side FK Bodo/Glimt.

Aston Villa have signed midfielder Glenn Whelan on a two-year deal from Stoke City.

1010: They've already done it with Chelsea's move for Romelu Lukaku, but could Manchester United now be set to gatecrash Tottenham's pursuit of Ross Barkley?

Reports this morning have prompted them to be backed in from 33/1 to 7/1 to sign the Everton playmaker, who was just 2/7 to head to north London.

Spurs are now out to 4/6 to complete the deal, which has dragged on throughout the summer as the notoriously hard barterer Daniel Levy waits for the Toffees to reduce their demands.

Having seemingly bartered them down from £50m to £35m, Spurs are have now reportedly been faced with wage demands of around £150,000 per week, £30,000 more than their highest earners Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane.

However, contrasting reports have since emerged, with various sources suggesting such wage demands are untrue, but it now remains to be seen whether they are facing competition for the 23-year-old’s services.

So what should we make of it all? Rely on good sources (us!) for your news and be patient - Levy is not a man to be rushed.

0920: It won't be a shock if this deal goes through as the Sky sources report that Stoke winger Marko Arnautovic will have a West Ham medical and discuss personal terms in the coming days.

He's costing a lot of money but that shouldn't shock anybody.

0900: Our Premier League done deals and rumours story has now been updated after this morning's Paper Talk was published.

All of the targets and completed transfers from the 20 top-flight teams are in there so bookmark it for the rest of the summer now!

0840: Paper Talk is here for all your transfer rumour needs. Plenty more fun and games for Manchester United to expect as Marco Verratti, Renato Sanches and Ross Barkley are all touted as targets.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also still in the running for a return to Old Trafford.

0830: The fourth day of the week is here in The Transfer Bulletin. The big news from last night to bring you is Chelsea agreeing terms to buy Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

A statement on the Premier League champions' official website says: "Chelsea Football Club and Real Madrid have agreed terms for the transfer of Alvaro Morata to Stamford Bridge.

"The move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

"Morata, 24, is a Spanish international forward, and helped Real to lift a second successive Champions League last season."
