1750: And a quick line on the next Oxford manager betting - former Leeds assistant manager Pep Clotet has been backed in to 4/9 favourite following a run of bets.

The Spaniard decided not to follow Garry Monk in leaving Leeds as he looked to step up to management at Elland Road, but is now looking elsewhere following their appointment of Thomas Christiansen.

1745: Another twist in the tale for Joe Hart

Torino have confirmed the signing of Salvatore Sirigu from PSG, which comes fresh off a decision from the Italian side to not make Hart’s deal from Manchester City permanent.

Joe Hart’s future remains up in the air with West Ham currently Sky Bet favourites to sign the England international at 7/4, with Liverpool and Manchester United both at 5/1 to secure his signature.

1600: Barcelona are reportedly set to re-sign Gerard Deulofeu from Everton with a typical Barcelona style ‘buy-back clause’.

The 23-year-old Spaniard, who impressed during his loan spells at AC Milan earlier this year, has a £10.5m option in his contract allowing the Catalan giants to re-acquire the young winger before the deadline of June 30th.

1445: Speculation continues to surround Alexis Sanchez’s future with the Chilean yet to sign a new deal with Arsenal.

His head coach of the national team, Juan Antonio Pizzi, has claimed that "every top club in the world would like to sign the forward" but Arsene Wenger will be hoping the striker decides to extend his future at the Emirates.

Sanchez is 11/10 with Sky Bet to stay with the Gunners as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are giving a 7/4 chance of landing him this summer after reportedly expressing an interest, while offering Champions League football.

1325: Arsenal's north London rivals Tottenham fans might be a bit bemused at this one but former Spurs midfielder Paulinho is being linked with a move to Barcelona.

The side from Catalan reportedly expressed interest in the Brazil international, who is believed to have a release clause of £35m, but new rulings mean signing a replacement could be costly for current side Guangzhou Evergrande, and so head coach Luiz Filipe Scolari is more disinclined to let him leave.

1315: Arsenal fans look away now.

After seemingly being on the verge of signing KAS Eupen stiker Henry Onyekuru, Arsenal appear to have lost out to Ronald Koeman’s Everton. Reports suggest that a deal between Everton and Nigerian Onyekuru appear to be very close to completion despite Arsenal reportedly previously agreeing a fee on the 20-year-old striker.

Perhaps this means the Gunners are closing on French striker Alexandre Lacazette, but reports that the two clubs are struggling to agree on fees mean this one might take some time. He’s currently 1/4 with Sky Bet to join Arsene Wenger’s men in north London.

1220:  Raul Merieles - remember him? Yes, the Portugese international, with the intriguing choice of hair, has thrown in his opinion on the current Cristiano Ronaldo situation.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea midfielder claimed "the Premier League is the right place for him’’ when commenting on the Real Madrid star's future.

The four-time Champions League winner is now priced at 4/1 with Sky Bet to re-join former club Manchester United, although he remains well odds-on to extend his stay in Madrid.

1125: ‘Oh yeah, what happened to him?’ – is the most common reaction to the forgotten man that is Lazar Markovic.

The once exciting Liverpool prospect has been linked with a £12m move south from Anfield to Watford.

Marco Silva could eye Markovic as the ideal individual to transform the Vicarage Road side into a more free-flowing, exciting team.

1050: Infamous celebration creator and former USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann has taken to social media to announce that he had "a blast at STYX concert at the beautiful Greek Theatre in LA".

Having got the important news out of the way, he went on to dismiss reports linking him with the Sunderland job.

0950:  Manchester City’s summer spending could be set to continue in the form of England and Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker

The 27-year-old may be seen as an ideal candidate to fill the void by the losses of Bacary Sagna, Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy earlier this summer.

Guardiola is keen to bring the Spurs defender in before City leave on their summer tour to the United States and, after significant money on the transfer, his price to join Guardiola in Manchester has been cut to 1/4 from 8/15 with Sky Bet.

0930:  Widespread reports have linked Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The 20-year-old Frenchman has caught the eye of the Spaniard with some attention-grabbing performances for the German side in their run to the Champions League semi-final last season, and Guardiola could see the Frenchman as the perfect addition to his new-look squad.

After an influx of bets this morning, Dembele’s price has been driven down to 2/1 from 33/1 with Sky Bet after le10sport reported that the Frenchman ‘dined’ with the City boss at a restaurant in Manchester last night.

There are a number of stand out stories in this morning's Paper Talk.

The Daily Star report that West Ham are ready to pay £50m to land Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud from Arsenal.

We touched on Giroud possibly moving to Lyon yesterday with Alexandre Lacazette seemingly Arsenal bound, but the inclusion of Walcott in the deal is an interesting one. Giroud is into 9/4 with Sky Bet to make the move to the London Stadium with Lyon second favourites to land the Arsenal striker.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the £35m capture of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea. Sky Bet make Matic an 1/12 shot to make the switch to Old Trafford.

Liverpool have made their move for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The Reds are 8/11 shots to secure the England star's signature with Chelsea second in the betting at 11/1.
