Werder Bremen v Wolfsburg (12:30 BST)

Andre Silva gives Eintracht Frankfurt the lead
Werder Bremen were beaten by Eintracht Frankfurt in midweek

Werder Bremen's good form was brought to an end by Eintracht Frankfurt in midweek and they find themselves still stuck in the Bundesliga relegation zone.

This week should see them drop points again as they face a Wolfsburg side who are battling Hoffenheim for a spot in the Europa League. Given Hoffenheim's meeting with Dusseldorf on Saturday, Wolfsburg could find themselves in seventh at the time of kick-off here.

The Asian Handicap has Wolfsburg at -0.5 at the time of writing and there is confidence in yet another Bundesliga away victory. Bremen's defeat to Frankfurt last time out, a Frankfurt side who played fairly poorly across the 90 minutes, potentially highlights that they are going to end up finishing in the bottom-two.

Wolfsburg's 21/20 price across the board makes them worth inclusion in any Sunday accumulators, but we saw enough in Maximilian Arnold's performance last time out to suggest that he could be among the goals once again here.

There's a best price of 11/2 on the midfielder to score anytime against Bremen but it's worth squeezing out the extra value and taking him to score from outside the area at a huge 12/1.

Arnold has seen direct involvement in 17 goals across all competitions this season and one of his strengths is the threat he provides from set-piece situations. Given how Bremen are the worst side in the league when it comes to goals conceded from set-pieces, Arnold is likely to have some involvement again when the two teams meet.

The midfielder actually sits second for goals scored from outside the area this season; only beaten by Leipzig's Marcel Sabitzer. Arnold's shots from set-pieces rate also puts him in the top 12 in the Bundesliga.

This is a meeting between a Wolfsburg side who average 13.9 shots per game and a Bremen outfit who concede an average of 14.7. The visitors will see opportunities to find the net and there's every chance Arnold will be among them.

In fact, Arnold has posted at least two shots in each of his last six league fixtures. The away victory over Leverkusen, where he found the net, also saw him have a total of four shots of which two were on target.

His form since the break has been a positive and he has played a key role in the two games they have won. We should expect similar when they travel to Bremen.

As mentioned above, Wolfsburg's price looks decent enough but it would be worth taking them to win with over 2.5 goals in the contest at near double the price if we're looking for value in the outright market.

Instead, there is a more than tempting price on Arnold to strike from distance - something that has happened on multiple occasions this season.

Bremen's problem from set-pieces has been one of the many issues that has contributed to their current position. The fact they also sit sixth in the fouls charts indicates that Arnold will get opportunities to score from free-kicks.

It's worth backing the midfielder to strike for Wolfsburg on Sunday.

Score prediction: Werder Bremen 1-2 Wolfsburg (Sky Bet odds: 8/1)

Best bet: Maximilian Arnold to score from outside the area at 12/1

Union Berlin v Schalke (14:30 BST)

Hello, it's your weekly reminder that Schalke aren't very good.

Luckily for them, Sunday sees them take on a Union Berlin side who have struggled for form themselves. That said, Schalke seem to be the team that most want to face when they are desperate for a result.

David Wagner's men lost again last time out as they were beaten by Werder Bremen. For Union Berlin, they were brushed aside by Borussia Monchengladbach in a 4-1 result.

What we saw from Union last weekend was a side playing with more urgency. The final touch was lacking, but they seemed to demonstrate a level of energy that we have not seen from them since the break.

Their results may not be looking much better than Schalke's but when it comes to deciding which of the two teams is better placed for victory - it simply has to be the hosts.

The top-four aspirations that Schalke held in December have long gone and they sit five points adrift of the top-six. Even with it being a mathematical possibility, there won't be many people who are willing to back them to secure a spot in Europe next season.

Problems on the pitch are going with concern off it and one of the biggest issues for Schalke in terms of their playing squad has been the goalkeeper position. Questions remain about Markus Schubert's capability at this point in his career.

Alexander Nubel was actually brought back into the side for the defeat to Bremen but it still ended in defeat. That's a big indication that Wagner will go back on his word in search of a victory.

The issue is that the decision has come too late; Schalke's issues are already in full flow. Bringing Nubel back into the picture is paper over the cracks at this point. It should have happened straight away following the break.

Union will be keen to capitalise on the problems their opponents are facing and there is more confidence in the home side based on what we have seen in recent weeks. Of course, Union have struggled but they looked more alert last weekend.

This Schalke side just has the feel of one that can't wait for the season to end. They're not going to get a spot in Europe and they're not going to be relegated. The sooner game 34 finishes the better in their case.

For Union, they do still have something to play for as they aim to secure their Bundesliga status. They looked comfortable, but recent results have dragged them back into the picture.

There's no appeal in the 2/1 price on an away victory here; it should be a contest that sees Union return to winning ways.

Score prediction: Union Berlin 2-0 Schalke (Sky Bet odds: 10/1)

Best bet: Union Berlin (-1 handicap) to beat Schalke at 17/4

Augsburg v FC Koln (17:00 BST)

Florian Kainz celebrates his goal against Mainz
Florian Kainz celebrates his goal against Mainz

We've gone for a Sporting Life Price Boost in this game and have asked the team at Sky Bet to enhance the odds on Florian Kainz scoring anytime.

Kainz has scored four goals this side of the winter break - two of which have come in his last four games. Since the break, the winger has posted eight shots which highlights his threat on goal.

He's expected to take up his usual role out wide in the starting line-up as Koln look to end their current poor form and return to winning ways.

The best price available on Kainz netting anytime in the 90 minutes is 7/2 - but we have an exclusive 4/1 price available which can only be accessed via the link below.
